Right heres the catch my mates under a DoS attack well to be more specific the ping of death, its causing major problems for him but he cant use a firewall etc, he runs a server on antrix and antrix wont allow it, is there any other methods we can use? a cracked program? anything?

so run netstat or whatever it is and find any connections to his computer that he doesn't recognise and log that IP address
i dunno just random suggestions.

Right he returned but i cant open .dmp files, im using debugging tools for xp, but atm in a source file its all code, so im :S

And antrix is a wow server, in simple terms,

Antrix is a wow emulator, a later version of Mangos I think.

And you can run a firewall with it to prevent futher attacks... You just need to forward the correct ports, if you need them I can find them out for ya... One of them is 3306 abviously cause that's MySQL .

DDoS attacks are far more complex than what this person is experiencing.

This is just some script kid flooding ones bandwidth.
