Help - Sound Distorts, pc lagg.

Ok, i got a PackardBell iXtreme x6620

Windows 7 64Bit
Intel Core Quad processor
Nvida GeForce GT220 1024mb
1tb HDD
6 GB DDR2 Memory

When i boot up its fine, however as time progresses there's a little distortion in my sound... as time goes, it gets worse and worse.. and my pc laggs and laggs... its not even 3 months old. However im reluctant to ask them for help, as its 3rd time somethings gone wrong. After a reboot it isfine..

I could be wrong but it sounds to me like your processor isnt getting cooled properly which is bad im sure you know this already so does it happen after you pc has bin on a long time ?

I know the the intel core quads have a special cooling unit that covers the cpu maybe its loose you may want to check that, if its like mine it clamps into the mainboard with little twist snaps, also check your lithium grease, it is in between you cpu and cooling unit make sure it is well lubricated this could also cause your pc to over heat

Have you tryed to overclock?

If thats not it id say its a virus

Take it back and buy something other than a Packard Bell.

They are renowned for being faulty and unfortunately they are not upgradable by the normal user either. You name any fault that can happen and it will happen with this machine, I used to repair these on a regular basis.

download cpu-z , check what temp your cpu is running at.

like someone said , iam no expert but when your cpu starts to run hot your pc will laggg.

had this problem couple of years back just after i installed my new 8800gts 512 ( when it had just came out aha ) on my old old pc before this one , its because u need to repaste your CPU , try play a game , if you lagg like a ***** you know its your cpu .
