Help with being faster and fps

Firstly forgive me for my amateur and my pc knowledge is only basic I'm looking for help on how to be faster ingame on mir,

on other games like league of legends I can run full graphics and shadows I have no lag and consistent fps on 60.

in mir the best I get is only 42 unless I press alt+enter to play on small window I CAN get 10 more maximum is 52 but going full screen drops to 42 again,
my pc is i3 process with 2gb gtx 650 nvida woth 4gb Kingston ddr3 sorry if need more info please help if possible , regards Roberto

I wouldn't mind knowing a program that makes me a little faster now too since I can't use my packet editor cause it kicks me, already spoke to sam why I used this, I live in Australia im far away from where it is hosted but there has to be a way to stop this shitty 2 step lag :/

I hear maximum fps is 60 but I'm only 8fps off the maximum in windowed
mode but many persons are a lot faster than me, I don't know wht a packet editor is but is there something I am missing?

I wonder If because LoL is more 3d graphically and mir is 2d isometric is there a way to change nvida to optimal perform for 2d, it seems odd to me I'm running LoL so well and an old game like mir is sloww

Your reply is a little vague but thanks, if you mean razor game booster I have tried it and got no more fps or any speed increases, speaking to ppl I the starter guild many have told me that it doesn't actually help at all, maybe if I run my mir exe is compatibility mode with xxp or win98 as the game was made in 1999/2000?

The packet editor I used was discussed with Sam, it can in most cases give an unfair advantage on other people and I have been advised not to use it due to it being prohibited, in my case it made me run without 2step, cause of my location I get very bad latency to the server with It being hosted so far away, but I need a program that speeds me up a little bit, tryna pvp is a mare now and running from black maggots is nigh impossible. you should download and install leatrixx latency fix, it is not prohibited as far as im aware, but speeds and cleans the packets to and from process to make your gameplay that little bit smoother. /Ava

I can assure you now that if you use gamebooster or any program similar to this, Samuels cheat engine will pick this up and your probably likely to be kicked / banned, the best thing to do to increase your fps for these server files is but a new graphics card! Trust me on this.. I don't currently play chronicles as I now live in my own house and do not currently have the Internet but I did play ace, I used a laptop when I first started on ace and felt with serious lag for some time (like sluggish play, also refered to as overweight type lag). I went out and bought a new PC shortly before ace closed and worked spot on, was getting between 54-60 fps at all times, if I remember correctly the frames are capped at 60 yes. As this is as much the human eye can process, but yes, I suggest buying a new graphics card.

These server files run 100% better on windows 7 no need to do compatibility for XP etc.

thanks for the detailed reply much apreciated but am i wrong in thinking that 2GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650 - DVI, mHDMI, VGA - 3D Vision is more than enough to run this mir?

Erm no. Packet editors don't speed anything up.

I get the same thing and im in the UK. using XP. my pc is old though. Athlon64 3200+ 1gb Ram SIS integrated graphics. used to run normal Mir no problem but now with the 32bit colour etc I have constant "Overweight Lagg" maybe if we could drop to 16bit colour in the options (as at present it doesnt work) this might help?

I understand that this used to improve performance on older versions/clients of Mir, however, the entire graphical engine has taken a massive leap since then and a lot of the under lying mechanics have also been developed against new versions of the windows operating system.

I am not saying that upgrading to windows 7 is going to correct the issue, I am saying that as an observation it appears those on windows 7 are not experiencing this issue.

Comes with ton's of tweaks that programs like Gamebooster / Smartclose / TuneUp and my GamerProfile Service manager do but without the programs running, so essentially you PC is Pre-tweaked.

The spec of your computer is more than enough... You can hit F12 and turn off things like Mob magic light, skill graphics, does this improve your fps?

im running a program called FRAP and changing these settings doesnt increase my fps at all the only way i can increase fps to a maximum 52 for me is by running the the "small" windowed mode which im guessing is the only reason it jumps from 42>52

Obviously it speeds my gameplay up so I don't 2 step otherwise I wouldn't have used it now, would I? wisecrack
