Help with buying new PC

Hi,

Looking to buy a new PC. Base unit only.

Budget is £600.

No need for a huge hdd.
1 optical drive is enough.
No modem needed, or wi-fi, just a network card.
Operating system isn't essential.

I've no idea what components work best with what, or what would constitute as an easily upgradable system (for the future) so if anyone has websites they can recommend, or custom/pre-builds for around that price I'll be grateful for the help.
