help with exe please

i am trying to get onto a mates server, but every time i try i get this error:

'*server* has caused an error in KRNL386.EXE.
*server* will now close

If you continue to experience these problems,
try restarting your computer.'

does anyone know what the problem is/ how to get around it?

1. Either Trojan/Keylogger
2. He messed up EXE
