help with odbc (not loading)

ok i always get told off for doing wrong post lol ill try 1 more


i load it all as u do (local)

sa
******
ect
but when i go to press next it just freezes and it isnt just me that has tried..
it also seys not responding then an error report comes up

first if i rem right u need to do them on "system dsn" not "user dsn" and second at user id and pass u need to put user=SA and pass=SA's password

First it needs to be SYSTEM DSN
Next the LOGIN NAME SHOULD BE = SA and the PASSWORD SHOULD BE THE SQL PASSWORD

Also on the first screen where u label the DSN, have you got the server as (local)

in the 4th screeny were u select the "(local)" do u write it ? or u select it from the list using the arrow in the right ? .. if u write it that could be ur problem , duno why but i had the same problem when i made mine but if u select the
"(local)" from the list then it should work

u didnt answered to mapadale's question .. u have the data base's in sql allready right ? , try without description tho i dont think that matter's

It doesn't matter if you write (local) or if its there as it will work ether way.

Are all your DB's correct in SQL.

on the error report, can you please click where it say's click here and copy and paste the information here. As if your SQL is setup correctly, I'll then beable to identify the issue from the error report.

Also next time, please link the images all into one thread. As what you have done is against forum rules, but I will let you off this once.

It forgives me suspiciously a Windows problem from: -) your Windows Installs again (it hit fully and errors arise through that)
