Help with RAM pls :)

Well im wanting 2 buy new RAM.

Looked around, and found one i want.

but, what do i need to check?

Ok, my other 1 in pc atm is DDR, 266mhz, and PC2100.

Looking at this one

DDR DIMM - 512 MB RAM, 184 PIN, 266 MHz / PC 2100, SYNCHRONOUS

Will that 1 be ok in my pc with the other one in aswell?

aslong as ur other one is 512mb. you cant have a 256/128 slot next to a 512.

Must go in pairs.

So i need like, a 512 and a 512 cant have 512 128?

when i upgraded my ram i was told i had to have a pair. so i used 2 256's. wouldnt accept it when i used a 512 and 128. maybe im wrong, but i dont think so.

on the same note. have u ever seen a person with 630 or 768 ram?

what the heck r u guys talking about lol. ive had comps with 768mb of ram. theyt dont have to be the same size u can have a 128 and a 512mb in there, but u wont be able to run dual channel, but im guessing ur mobo cant anyway. whats ur system specs, and yes, if u buy a 512 u can put it in with ur 128mb.

my pc specs are 2.0gz, intel pentium 4, ram 128mb :P

Just needing new ram. Now if know the answer i will order a 512mb

heh, my old 233 mhz computer had 90 mb ram, then in my stupidity i upgraded it by 256, so now ihave 300 and something so im pretty sure it works

i had 256 and added an extra 512 and it worked fine

i have a 512mb and a 256mb DDR both 400mhz :P and the work great!
