Just formatted this computer installed all the necessary things I usually would including DirectX and I'm getting this error message.

im not sure but it seems like a driver problem.

you can download this free http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/IObit-Driver-Booster.shtml

i use it, its pretty good, it will check all your drivers and then install em for you.

Cheers mate it could be a driver problem actually. I just got a flashback about some sort of error from years ago that was caused by audio drivers not being installed. Anyway I'll run this and let you know the result, thanks.

From your screenshot it seems that you don't have a driver installed for your graphics card.

"Card Name: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter" is the temp one windows assigns whilst you install your drivers...

Try updating your drivers and ensuring directx is up to date.

Used the DriverBooster and it installed all necessary drivers I required.
