can somebody please help me, I've just reformatted my pc, and would like to know which are the best of the following:

Anti-Virus
Spyware/Shareware/AdWare removal
Firewall

both do all them jobs perfectly fo me. BlackIce is also another good Firewall.

i use blackice, cant go wrong there.
i use the free AVG thing, altho i dont usually get virii/trojans so i dont need a good AV.
ad-aware for spyware removal

for antivirus and firewall, although it is a little anoying, it is the best.

its all on u pal. configure it anyway u want. at stock settings it will ask u etc and u can tell it to let something gain access in the future without ur consent. i especially like this becus it will tell u about some rougue piece of software b4 it connects...like loggers :0
