Anybody have any recommendations on brand/model kit etc? Happy to spend up to £150 if it has at least 3 cameras.

Does anybody have any experience getting complaints due to recording a public road? My car is parked on the street to our side but a camera on the side would be perfect. Worried about people complaining though

uses EMMC however so I imagine it comes with some software you can use on your phone/pc to view/export videos.

In regards to filming outside, it's such a grey area. aslong as it's mainly focused on your propety it's not an issue but i've heard of people getting shitty about having 5% of the video showing someone elses house/property.

Just do it, you have a right to record and secure your own property.

get a half-decent NVR and it'll last you forever and find some poe cameras (even get them used), I use a Hikvision NVR and cameras, tempted to try out a Dahua NVR

Hikvision (N/DVR) are budget friendly and gets the job done. I have 2 thats been running 24/7 at home and work for over 2 years with 0 issues.

Well these are going back. Didn't think about the glare from the glass so they are shite in the day and useless at night with night vision on

Nothing obviously, but Hikvision is probably the most common system used across the whole of the UK.

Ye we install it on all our student blocks, ultimately they're always catered towards the chinese/asian market anyway, so probably to keep an eye on their peoples
