when you get a new spell you need to spend a few hours afk, while your character hits the trainer

this is boring and annoying

how about instead, your spell automatically levels up when you reach the level required for it, but it wont level up to 2 or 3 unless you get the book for it

if you don't like that idea, then thats okay, but don't dismiss the idea of changing the current system, because i think anything would be better than afking on the trainer for hours

and yeah i know it sucks a lot of you already levelled it up the old way, but don't get in the way of progress because of it

I like skill leveling but it's much more fun to be doing it by playing a few hours, not by leaving our computers on overnight with a weight on the keyboard, it's a waste of everyone's time and electric bill :P

You could level the spell naturally you know, not on the trainer.

i don't believe it's feasible when you have a tedious spell like summon skeleton, or just a spell that has a very large amount of skill points necessary

youre right, we could all do it naturally, but the reality is we all afk on that trainer

i'm sure i'm right but i'll have to see what the poll results are

Remove trainer problem solved then you can level it naturally and don't go afk

Leveling skills naturally is definitely more fun! The problem more lies in the feasibility of doing so, if we leveled skills naturally by time we're at level 30 skills, we're talking playing up to level 45+ before they're at level 3 due to the amount of points required to do so.

I am of the opinion that a skill should level or be near to leveling by time the next skill level is available through natural leveling, as that makes good game design sense in that it smooths out the increase in your character's progression, and makes a better looking goal and accomplishment for the player to look forward to, much more so than feeling forced to either never having a leveled skill, or using a trainer afk, those things are not satisfying nor fun for anybody.

Server needs the afk usercount.

Mir server as standard held 15-30% afk/mining usercount. The server would not be as appealing during the day uf the usercoung was 5.

Keep it as it is but make it so I can enable / disalbe cash buffs (e.g. XP pots) in the training rooms. Pretty annoying having to plan around when to train your skills and pop your pots. I know it's a very small amount of cash, but it's just a tad annoying wasting the buffs that aren't necessary for skilling up.

To be fair, the skills level quite fast anyway.

Always disliked the levelling of spells system. Never understood any reason to have a feature in a game (that we play for fun) that isn't enjoyable. Akin to mining.

But the "no level in sz" contributes to burning GG pots when lvling spells. Just a small GG sink.

I was wondering about this today, as you see the User Count dropping now down to the 80-100 mark out of that I wonder who actually is play?

Levelling skills without the books is a massive pain, even with a skills buff. Most skills totally suck at level 0 and people havent got time to level them naturally. It would take far too long and it really isn't enjoyable. I vote change.

I vote leave it as it is and put the time/effort in as everyone else has done. Want to level it quickly? buy the book.

Lucky you're even able to use the spell before buying the book tbh.

Drinking on a Monday night? Tut tut Raz!

Saturday night.
In that case, yes.. was on the wine with the wife after enjoying a meal at the Irie Shack.
I then developed man flu, or possibly Caribbean Plague?
