how can i tell if my motherboard supports SATA?

thanks. looks like im gonna have to buy a new mobo and cpu then. my mobo is v old.

want a small hard drive which is 10000rpm, but can only see SATA hard drives for this speed.

Get a SeaGate 500GB SATA-II drive, they have almost the same read/write rate as the 10k Raptor's. £100+ for 150GB v £60 for 500GB

ok. what would you say was the fastest drive available? dont need anymore than 150gb. only using it for windows folder and drivers etc. got another 4 drives of 1TB.

Fastest, Raptors. But to get the most bang for buck, probably what senture said.

6 Lane Motorway going into a 3 Lane? Would that slow the traffic down at rush hour?? As Big A said - PCI Card is the answer :)
