How Do I Connect To Someones Server

I have never played a 1.9 pserver b4 i am using the offical legend of mir client and simply put the ip and ftp server name into the folder, put as av gone to make an account it takes me to the offical euro webpage ?

so you mean copy 1.9 folder and replace mirsetup ftd and mir with the server ones cos i did that first ? then i sed i got the mir offical website when i went to make an account.
