I'm level 36 and I struggle to make 1m exp an hour atm, how does a player such as pokerface manage 11% in 1 hour? He had observer off so something he was doing was not legit.

Mobs had incorrect level, he could TU them and get 1mill exp per TU by the sounds of it.
Issue is resolved now in terms of mobs have had their correct levels set.

But if he gets to keep what must be at least 100mill exp then jamie needs to take the exp away or give everyone that couldn't exploit it , or just let him get away with it haha...

Why does everyone whine like little bitches so much?

It wasn't an exploit.

It was an oversight by Jamie.

Yes some players benefitted.

Get over it.

1 Person for less than half a day too, which probably cost him more time because he had level 0 Expel Undead and no Phantom kit when I mentioned it.

So if I find an exploit or blatant error I need to exploit the fk out of it because I won’t be punished for it ? Gotcha

Are you for real? That’s like absolving someone of robbing your house because you left the door unlocked.

This is where you really let yourself down, you make great servers and no one can question your ability to code as its amazing.

But you never seen to nip issues in the bud and tackle them head on. Instead its a case of sweep it under the carpet and keep calm and carry on.

All it does it set a precedent for future exploiters that you wont act. If the guy had left observer on it would be clear he had just stumbled upon it by chance, by turning observer OFF and not reporting it (take into account Pokerface made two threads this morning on LOMCN so could easily have either PMed you here, mailed you in game or wrote a thread themselves) they were deliberately trying to exploit a bug from the patch and by doing nothing you've kinda opened the flood gates to -exploit all you want, because its never going to have a negative impact on you as even if the exploit is later discovered and rectified those exploiting will not be punished- which was even more evident from the gold botting / selling that was going on.

I'm not asking for you to whack out the ban hammer and to go crazy and be a wrathful or vengeful GM, but sometimes I have to question your choices. You'll happily hand out chat bans in game for those saying anything directly negative towards you or the server but take the softly softly approach on everything else including exploits.

Must agree here. Sometimes, there needs to be some sort of "punishment". Even if it's just a case of taking away some of the exp gained, they can't really complain, andif they do, it's 1 unhappy person rather than the majority.

It's about gauging intention, if the person clearly knew what they were doing and intended on exploiting then they should be punished.

Honest mistakes happen. But those are far easier to spot when it wasn't intentional.

You guys realise you may as well talk to a brick wall? Jamie does what Jamie wants to do even if he alienates half his community in the process.

Some people are seriously saying your deliberately hurting the server so less and less play, pretty much like marble
