How much is a vBulletin forum?

Hi dose any one know what is costs ect ect been looking @ free forums but they arnt very good if you have any suggestons plz post below.

Invision Power Board - latest version if you plan on having a small forum (up to 200 members) and 1.3 if you plan on having a big forum.

H4x0red versions are also available, but keep in mind that you'll probably get caught and will have to remove it ^^.

I use IPB and it seems good enough atm.

vBulletin is a very nice and fully featured forum, but as I imagine you have found - its not exactly cheap.

Meanwhile v1 of IPB, altho 'free' - has many documented vunerabilities, and is quite featurelesss - not mentioning that it looks horrible in just about every theme I've seen it in.

The very latest version of phpBB (free) looks very nice and seems to be a drastic improvement over earlier versions. Nevertheless my choice for a very simplistic but well featured forum, which is closest to vB is "MyBB". Its free, easy to install and looks very polished. The only problem is being so new, it doesn't have a wide selection of themes available.

a forums a forum. phpbb is good and free. but all forums you can post and reply on, what else do u need?

N1 leo a quick question i d/loaded mybb v 1.1.1 is that right it d/loaded a file full of dreamweaver files do i just add this to my web sight?

The files inside the ZIP are PHP files, and should be placed on a site which supports PHP. Your site will also need to have access to a MySQL database in order to store information.

If you have the aforementioned simply point ur browser to the install directory and follow the steps. Before you ru it however make sure you create a database for the forum inside MySQL.

If I've just completely confused you,consider using forum called "invisionfree"

ill work it out leo may take a fue hours but ill do it dont really wont to use invisionfree it looks crappy & if i used Ifree people would think im not palnning on my server to be long term so ill take the time & get MyBB forum up look's good & easy to use.

Get a new skin for invision free and it looks just as good .
