How to Tutorial (60 fps) Are You Ready For Fun PVPs ?

The fight mechanics is built on who has the fastest frames per second, every hardcored Mir player thrives to have it!

It's a simple to do but I still created a little how to video just incase!

Tutorial

1. First you need to have Windows 7
   
2. Install the Window 7 theme [Gears of War] (Link>> Gears Of War) [unlocks 2 new options in visual effects]
   
3. Goto Advanced system settings > Visual Effects > Adjust for BEST appearance
   
4. Load up Mir Chronicles and enjoy

The second part of the video is showing the difference - WithoutTweak 35-45 fps vs Withtweak 58-60 fps

You don't need 1000s of pounds worth of PC gear to play this the way it should be
My mates gets 60 fps on a machine older than you're Grans and gets called a cheaters/hackers in PVP

Iv always used this method but iv never been any quicker in game with my current machine. Think ill get my ram upgrade and hope that works for now

The gears of war theme unlocks new options in Windows Apperance. :P

could be the cause why mir runs faster.

+ I've done this set up to 4 of my mates in game, 3 were a massive improvement and 1 said he seemed the same speed but just looked smoother

I use a programme called Dxtory, kinda like Fraps but less brutal on the file size :P that'll show yer fps

Don't suppose you know of anything that'll help us Windows XP users? I tried installing Windows 7 a while back but it said my computer wasn't compatible, most people seem to be faster than me, even back on Euro.

it made no difference for me i seem to sit at 30-35 FPS with or without that theme and even changing my graffics card settings has made no difference .... tbh im thinking in my case its due to my peasent like graffics card lol ... oh well new one in post

i would've thought if windows 7 isnt compatible it'll be due to the amount of ram you have ... i think it requires a minimum of 1.5gb, i installed windows 7 on my old pc and it made a difference to my speed on mir

ACPI, few reg tweaks, adjust for best performance, game profile, smart close (or just manually close all non-essential programs running in the background via task manager) , etc.
Or
Run it in VM on tinyXP ( I recomand this one )

i recommend to get more ram :P haha at least 4GB minimum, am currently running 6GB RAM

Everyone else says that the acpi tweak makes no difference here.

I just tested my FPS at the login screen and it was averaging between 50 - 60+ which is good but why is it I always see people skipping past me? :S

Maybe ingame it'll be lower perhaps or it might just be my connection.

No - i said PvP Fun is not FPS Based its connection Based.

RuN PvP with Some1 who got a bad connection - sometimes i tried to hit PPL guess what they jumped liked crazy *hard to Aim them as LongRange Class...
