How Useful is DC & Holy for a Tao?

Ive had many items drop which are IMO totally redundant for my class unless modified i.e

Soul Ring (DC 0-2 SC 1-4 )
Purity Necklace (DC 1-1 SC 1-3)
BokMaWheel (DC 0-1 SC 1-3)
HolyTaoWheel (DC1-1 SC 1-3 Holy +3)
Holy on any Tao Weapon.
+Many more

DC: For a Tao this stat increases melee attack power. While hitting a mob with my SSW may add a little extra damage I'd be better off not getting hit because my pets will do more damage and I can SFB without having to pot/heal.

Holy: This stat increases DC against undead mobs. Totally useless.

Neither of these stats are any good for us on this server, yet we have so many items with these stats on. Taos are considered a support class by many yet these stats offer no utility to fulfill that role or aid soloing.
My idea would be to get rid of these stats and increase base SC on items or add HP instead of DC. Or change the code on Holy so it adds luck on heals or something similar.

I ignored holy on euro.

For grinding I had a mix of DC/SC also orchid set, it cost me peanuts to hunt PT and obviously as much SC I could get for bossing.

I agree entirely with what you say about holy but not with the DC on Taoist items.

We have always had the option of meleeing and it still should be a viable option for some who do value DC, items such as soul sabre, holy wheels and purity sets offer extra DC for those who like to mix it up.

Personally when I'm with a sin or a warrior I always run and hit the mob so that the other guy with me doesn't have to chase the mob as it runs towards me.

I'd have thought hitting mobs with your weapon would be a smart move for a tao.

Pets and you hitting it, few heals now and then means you'll use much less MP than just stood away SFB'in?

Must admit though, I never play tao.

Because sfb is such a low level skill it consumes barely any MP at all, it's mass heal which swallows it. SFB for me hits up to 65 or so with red poison on BDD mobs for example, I'll hit 18 tops melee and that rarely registers
