I know this has come up a couple of times, and that some things are in palace to help reduce it (pets not gaining hunt gold for kills for example)
But looking forward what will be put in place to help reduce hunt gold farming?
Just for example I caught someone today in Lost Paradise trying to use F-Wall to cash in on free hunt gold, the guy wasn't able to do so due to a bug but was clearly trying to do it. I've seen multiple people trying to do this in other starting maps.
So what is the solution to prevent people mass farming hunt gold AFK?
Initially I thought policing it would be enough, but let's be fair Jamie is one person and trying to police people abusing the system would just monopolise his time.
I propose the following change to the way in which Hunt Gold is gained.
Currently you gain 1 hunt gold per monster kill per minute capping at 30 hunt gold per 30 minutes.
My suggestion would be to change it, instead you can only gain hunt gold if you meet the following criteria or a criteria of similar construct.
IF Character Level > Monster level -5 = Hunt gold gained is halved
IF Character Level > Monster level -10 = No hunt gold can be gained
IF Character Level <= Monster level = Hunt gold gained at normal rate
This would instantly stop the AFK farming of monster gold from just outside of towns safe zones. Some minor tweaks may need to be implemented to the levels of creatures to bring them down so that they can't be abused (just for instance lets say Zombies are level 25, they may need reducing to level 20 in order to prevent AFK farming)
Thoughts and opinions on something like this? Would this prevent AFK farming?
