Was because his wife was gonna leave him due to the money he was spending he told the whole guild most of us heard it on discord at the time.
Thats as good as his excuse could get.

Probably since he still seems to spend money he doesn’t have he’s probably using it straight from his PayPal from that fluffy game he helps run.
He also was bragging about being corrupt on his server selling items for cash.
