As title says, I'm not too sure if the processor is out yet. If so, I'd like to see if there's a relatively cheap setup with it?

Requires DDR2 for core 2.

i was gona reply to that "conroe isnt supported" crap this afternoon but the stupidity of the comment didnt warrant a response lol. he probs thinking about 64bit processors. most apps still just use the x32 system. and windows XP x64 is a little buggy.. if thats what he meant then fair enough but theres nowt up with dual core processors lol

So all in all, you think I should go for this setup (with the old suggested ram) instead of the one posted a month ago?

Yes. That Core2 Duo, for the record, can complete with most high-end Athlon64 x2's. (And if you get 667mhz ram, overclock it slightly, and you've got something that can realistically challenge a FX-60, in some cases ;)).

Considering I'm an AMD fanboy, I'll admit this:

E6300 > all AMD processors.

It may not be as fast as a FX-62 (Overclock it and fix that), but it also costs a _****load_ less.

The ram that most people are raving about at the moment are :-

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX22GB6400UDC) (MY-058-GL) @ £152.69

GeIL 1GB (2x512MB) PC6400 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit (GX21GB6400UDC) (MY-057-GL) @ £76.32

Reason being some people are reaching 3.5-4.0Ghz when coupled with a conroe processor.

*Both available from Overclockers.co.uk*

n1 Kaylan, overclockers.co.uk is a good site, I was just browsing through it lol.

So final setup before order goes through - anyone, especially Urban, disagree or object?

CPU1: Intel Conroe Core 2 Duo E6300 - £130
MOBO: Asrock ConroeXFire-eSATA2 - £65
RAM1: OCZ Gold PC5400 DDR2 20248MB - £142
HDD1: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 200GB - £65
GFXC: 7900GT (gainward) - £180
PSUX: Seasonix S12 Powersupply 430W, 2 x Sata - £50

£700 with P&P.

Can you add or take away anything maintaining that price and make it better?

Looks fine to me.. just double check all of the prices above with the prices listed on other sites in my first post, make sure you get the best deal :)
Oh and double check that the processor is retail and not OEM (aka comes with a heatsink and fan)
