People are whining way too much ressurect is fine it was the same on ace and ressurecting a team mate is no problem perhaps put in a rule that when in cbat you cannot ressurect

The fact is that it makes boss hunting too easy. All a Tao has to do is stay off screen, res every player in the group that died and they carry on like nothing happened. I don't see how anyone can say that this isn't a problem. It makes killing everything in game too easy.

how about stuff gets fixed instead.
by the time wonder patch two arrives there wont be anyone left.

exactly, unfortunately it seems the people calling others 'cry-babies' are in fact shite at playing the game, hence they desperately need to have the ability to make the game INCREDIBLY easy, mainly due to the large amount of shite they generate while attempting to play it would seem. Honestly, I really don't get why people want to remove all challenge from the game.. like I said it's pathetic, and reflects on them as being pathetic.. carry on...

I consider a spell that makes any and all content ever made in this game null and void, broken.

I liked the idea someone mentioned of putting a debuff onto the person who's been ressed, like 5/10/15 mins of no more ressing!?

res is more broke than CoD WaW is right now. it needs a massive cool down or needs to be made expensive to **** to cast make a amulet that u have to craft but its only got 10 dura and make it expensive to craft.

Fun how it's just people from one guild, asking ress to be changed. Cause they say another guild is using it to much. Yet what they aren't thinking about the smaller weaker guilds that don't have many members. Who only got 1 or 2 ress taos, this is going to end up slowing them down.

duh this is what it's meant to be.. should be like at least 1 min cool down.. and it shouldn't work 100% either.. the whole point of a hard boss is it's hard, not how many taos you have sat to res you..

Then make Bosses *hit 1000+ and all fine like on mir3 - No chance of ever to kill any boss on this server... Better make all Subbosses hit 1ooo+ too would make it finally better - Really pissed about this Nerv Spells threads... - and at then end delete tao characters cause why you need them so a server without taos would you like i guess...

Curse10 doesn't have many members and we use res as much as any one else does. FYI we have trouble getting taoists on most days, we have to pry Xele off his wiz onto Supermeds.

Thing is though, we see it for how rediculous it is, calling for it to be balanced is going to affect us as much as anyone else.

And to others, taoists are far from weak, they are the only class ingame that is an essential to kill high end bosses, their fight capabilities are amazing (green psn a wiz or archer and watch him squirm much?) and you can always do with more puri/pets/sfb/psn/heals in a fight.

It works too well thats the point. It makes harder content so much easier because there is no limitations on it, at EM for example, when you get to the final stage it can 1 hit people no problem (this to me shows we should need to be a higher level or have better gear) but 1/2 taos just sit off screen and res and then wait until you die again.

And tbh I'd be well in favor of lowering the damage out put of sins, warriors and Mr.Tash. A good start to this would be to lower the damage increase on red poison and yellow poison. I also feel that making wizard lightning more MC based (so higher levels do similar dmg to current but lower levels arent hitting in excess of 100 w/o good gear).

Minor changes that would make big impact imo.

The people saying that Reincarnation is fine are Taos that want it easy or idiots. It's not supposed to be like that. Anything can be killed easily if you have a Tao with the skill. It needs a much bigger cool down period on it. At the moment, it's easily the most over powered spell there is.

True that red poison is ridiculously OP 20% increase in all damage is huge in pvp wait until you see wars with actually good high DC they can do 180 to everyone now in fking shop DC they will be 1 hitting archers/sins/wiz who are redded in the future., because its % based red poison on here its going to scale up so much when everyones stats get higher.....

Taos cannot be offscreen and ress. They have to be able to point to the dead body which is probably near the dangerous mob. How do you do that if you are off screen? Once cast the tao is locked in place unable to move or cancel spell. If they get hit or interrupted the spell doesnt work.
Yes the tao can just hang around being safe doing nothing except wait until someone dies. But then who will you have to poison/buff?
Perhaps it shouldnt work every time until the skill is level 3 and re introduce the revival ammulet if you must. Cooldown is not the best solution nor is negative buff on someone ressurrected.
Its been in game a while now and no ones said anything.

As we are at it, can we nerf every other spell so it doesn't work or hit everytime. As we have to balance everything out in the end.

This sounds like a good idea to fix it's current abusable case. The more they are ressed, the bigger the cooldown becomes for that person? could call it Resurrection Sickness. Something that almost all successful MMORPG's with a res skill have to stop this being a problem.

You're a naive fool. Allow me to explain why.

1. This isn't Mir3.
2. Having every boss hit 1000+ would make "weaker guilds" completely and utterly ****ed without Res spell. This is exactly why Mir3 was so unbalanced.
3. Nerfing (and buffing) spells is an important part of balancing any game. If one spell is far too strong, it needs to be nerfed slightly where as if one spell is far too weak, it needs buffing slightly. The sooner you understand and realise this, the better.
4. Tao's are the hardest and most rewarding class to play on here, by far. With proper uptime of spells, you are absolutely vital to a hunt and due to red/green poison contribute more damage done over time to a boss than any class ingame. Anyone going to any high tier boss, needs a tao. This is a fact. Throwing your toys out of the pram and telling the team to delete the tao class because they're nerfing a broken spell, is childish. Please grow up.

Not sure I can comprehend this. We are the ones reporting the spell because we are the ones finding extreme abuse cases for it, and currently doing so because every other guild with res also are abusing it (this is not a bash on Apex, but have you ever seen them try to do Collosus? lol) All our tao's (besides Damish the lazy ****) have max level Res, so again, failing to comprehend your point. Finally. A constructive post - Thank you. Tao's can be at the far end of one persons screen and cast it, which is the furthest away from the boss, aka, the safest. The tao is locked in position and the spell is cast in quite literally 4 seconds at max level. 4 Seconds. That's nothing. Cast, go back to poisoning said boss... At level 0 It's something like, 15 seconds, which is actually more reasonable. This means in PvP, all someone has to do is interrupt them within those 15 seconds which is more reasonable than 4seconds.

Perhaps instead of not working every time (which in my opinion punishes the tao for correctly casting the spell) it should simply remain at 15 seconds cast/lock time. I say this because it would fix abuse-case issues in most scenarios. PVP would be fixed, as if you've not got someone constantly chasing after the tao than frankly you deserve to lose the fight - there should be almost no chance for a tao to use Res in a PVP scenario in my honest opinion.

PVE would be semi-fixed, but I still feel even with 15 seconds, higher tier bosses (such as final stage EM, currently we are the only guild doing it, so we are gaining the most out of this spell) would still be possible, just takes more time. The fact you can infinitely revive someone for no cost and with only 4seconds draw back, is honestly pretty broken. Why has nobody reported it until now? Because we've all been abusing it. With Patch 2.0, if nothing is a challenge because of this one spell, people will just get bored again and leave. That's my main concern.

Also please everyone, stick to the topic of Resurrection. We can all debate about whether Poison needs adjusting or other spells need adjusting, and for that I suggest you make your own thread.

You can have a Tao able to see players but out of range of bosses pretty easily. What people mean is, they have a Taoist with Reincarnation waiting somewhere safe until someone dies. They walk over, (staying out of range of the mob / boss) res them and walk back again. With the way it works at the moment, it's like having unlimited pots. Nobody will ever fail to kill a boss.

Why we are at it, can we remove the 2 second period when going through a door. Where you can't take any damage. As some people are using this to kill bosses. That is using a bug to kill bosses and not using the skill of you class.
