I'm not sure how many people would agree with these changes, but I think turtles would be a far better place if it was made to be a similar leveling cave to Numa. It would give some variety and still provide decent exp if the following changes were made:


  • Reduce monster hp/attack damage,
  • Increase spawn rate/amount of mobs,
  • Increase hp/mp drops,
  • Add strong dc items to mobs,
  • Make rt's useable (not sure on this change),
  • Keep boss the same difficulty.

At present I know only a few people who hunt this place for "a change", but I believe it has the potential to offer far more with a few minor tweaks.

The only change i think is needed is to the ranged ones.
I dont think they should hit hard and paralyse. Maybe one or the other.

Also think it's fine as it is - it's slightly better than numa exp / mob density .. and less than hell - so it's a nice balance.

If anything was to change should be a little more pots but do like the idea of strong items in the drop files

Turtles is fine the way it is, exp is good and you can kill fast. Pot drops can maybe be slightly improved but seeing as it's a leveling area it shouldn't be self sustainable to stay in there for hours on end.

The boss also drops pretty well and if you are doing some leveling in there you're quite likely to find it on the way.

The boss also drops pretty well and if you are doing some leveling in there you're quite likely to find it on the way.

Speed 7 / SOWG / BDA maybe bro, not for a Tao / Archer / Monk it isn't - 6 classes babe, not just big Warriors! :P

Agree about the ranged ones, they have the most impact on pot usage. They hit for up to 100, can para and also see you as soon as their red dot appears on the map.

Pot drops could do with a little buff, also drops in general i'd say - it is currently very expensive to lvl there and no rares drop at all from my experience. Im not saying big rares should drop often, but at least when you go to hell you might get a rune or power ring or something every other hunt to help offset the cost of hunting there.

They hit a 46 Tao/Archer in good kit for 110+'s (or at least they can)

only suggestions i have for the place are:
1 Change mob names from Tortoise to Turtle ^^
2 Tortoise/TurtleShellPiece in drop files + MysteriousTree type NPC somewhere far from tele in...(its big enough!) making it like Fox KR
3 Or add a few more Giant mobs,i.e GiantBlue(likeWG atk) GiantRed(yim attack)GiantGreen(EC atk).
You could even mix it up with coloured ShellPieces :confused:

It's fine as it is but the the 3 tweaks everyone above mentioned would make it more popular
Make the ranged para or hurt not both
put some more pots in drops
put strong dc items in drop files
problems solved. People got a new levelling area so big they never need to see anyone else and a chance of a sub or boss. Everybody happy

Like the above idea but it would make it a just go for the boss place and what people say they want is levelling places.
