Could i buy this paste from places like PC World? This would be the first time applying paste to the CPU or even removing the case from my computer ^^.

Yeah i would of thought so although it be cheaper on ebay. Also just search on youtube on how to apply if your worried, first time i done it i put to much on which leaked all over the place ;/

PC World & Maplin should stock it (I have a Maplin down the road from me, I bought some from there a couple weeks ago).

Just remember you need a THIN layer, very thin! Definitely best off getting one with a brush for good measure, it's much easier.

So if one component goes you think its ideal to buy a whole new pc every time... i doubt everyone is in a position to do so sadly.

PC World are just so expensive, even in times of dire need I would never go there. Not got a Maplin local, but they might be reasonable!

Just look for an eBay listing with expected delivery time 2-3 days, don't pick the one from like HK, especially now as it's their New Year. Though it is the Chinese, they work 24/7.

It's really easy, but totally understandable for you to be worried.

It comes in a tube (A bit like a sringe!) you just put a blob on, literally just a blob and use a credit card or piece of card to spread it evenly.

Maplin are more extortionate than PC World... they even charge you for their catalogue.
