So basically, in total this server is nothing to do with insane if someone else has the files, so your just trying to steal a name and bump up your rep?

Because if this is true its a bit sad matey, Don't get me wrong i can't wait to see this server, but the name shouldn't be insane if you had nothing to do with that server previously.

I have been trying to get hold of "TheBoss" Owner of the InSaNe 1.4 server with no luck,

Well, actually Stan wasnt the original owner of Insane in reality! If you check my name its that which the server was named after! I started insane server when the server files were very first released using the old 'mir server resource forum' files, and then files from here after the MSRF team site went down!

Drugz gave the files to Stan so he could code some NPC and quest stuff and also to organise a host etc. After a few weeks of playing the server in the IT center in Saltersgill were Drugz worked and Stan used to attend, Stan revoked drugz GM status on the files never added me as a GM at all, basically gave Drugz the two fingers claiming the server files were his and he had done ALL the work, and we have never spoke to him since because having the files made him a power crazy numpty! He doesnt acknowledge that we spent weeks before he got the files perfecting drop tables, adding items, monsters, hunting arears or quest NPCs or anything else for that matter.

Well, my rant over! I am currently working on a 1.4 server, maily just for LAN use and entertainment for my kids on the home network, but if theres anything you need, if I have the capacity to help I will mate

EDIT O/T: in reply to several replies ive just read here; by the way, insane is my username but that didnt stop stan from not changing his server name, but it didnt bother me. LOL, he even accused me of stealing his server name for my username once! Check mine, drugz and thebosses join dates on here and you will find that theboss joined on 06-09-2004 almost a full year after I did and 5 months after drugz, and im sure anyone will agree that it doesnt take a FULL year to put together a server. At the end of the day if this guy wants to call his server insane-max or insane whatever for that matter, whats the big deal! So what if theres a server called insane, the server in principal wasnt really theirs to begin with, and regardless of wether its in 1.4 or 1.9 or 2.3 or whatever that will remain so.

Yes im argueing over a name, because it mainly seems like its trying to add to his reputation, surely it should be a differant name due to its not InSaNe at all, only the InSaNe staff members should be allowed this name?

If im not correct i'd probarbly be seeing people with "RaGeZone" etc. all the time or Project69 or any of the current servers, the point is this isn't a member of the insane staff so it should not be allowed to take it's name, INCASE this server turns out to be not 1oo% brill, it dents there server's reputation.

Cheers mate, this is about the 6th time ive created a server, and its only 1,4 because ive done that many theres no messing about with SQL or whatever. I very much doubt I will release it as a server, as I am not really bothered about running one now, but if anyone ever wanted a finished 1.4 server complete with client and custom built wil files (as in all crap mobs not needed fully replaced with ones from 2.3 & mir3) then if I ever got a host with enough space I would consider uploading them for other people to use etc.

This server is basicaly for my own pleasure and to get the kids into mir as they never seem to do anything constructive.

Hi Insane i dident know that other people made Insane 1.4 apart from TB i was only a player back then & just thort TB was the owner so im sorry about that,

If you would like to be involved in the 2.3 Insane-MAX the id be happy to give you access to the test server, Your input would be really helpfull.
