hi i have serwer 3.55 and have router speedtouch 510 i unlock port 7000,7010,7100,7200,3000 and i use loopback here post Kaori

you don't need to use loopback...

you can try...
if your IP is pretty static...
in your tcpip setting of the normal nic.
you have something like...
192.168.1.2
255.255.255.0
192.168.1.1

then goto advance, you can add another IP under
IP addresses
192.168.1.2
90.194.186.123 (example)

keep gateway the same 192.168.1.1

on the other computer do the same thing...
192.168.1.3
90.194.186.124

now your lan computer should be able to communicate with your server with 90.194.186.123

just go to DMZ put in your ip and press apply, but make sure you get a good firewall for windows, it will unlock all ports.

I wouldn't recomend DMZ'ing your router at all, as all ports from 1 - 65555 are opened up and everything on the net is routed directly through to the IP assigned to the DMZ.

Speedtouch are not the best routers for port forwarding at all and if your router isn't tied into a ISP contract I would suggest flashing the router firmware and having it back to the original firmware that is part of the router and go from their with it.

I'll be on msn later this evening and will get this up and running for you, what I would suggest using, is somthing like a DNS host IE: No-ip

Now I changed my router to the Zyxel Here is a picture of how unblocked ports and as you say I'll use DynDNS

Now you have the ports forward, check through and see if you have virtual server as well. If so set this as for fowarding as well, as I remember when I was using a netgear router, that it had to have both port and virtual set for accessing server. Also use http://www.no-ip.com and no DynDNS, as I've found DynDNS doesn't always resolve correctly.

You get a DNS as stated and link it to your WAN IP (External), you can use a program like No-IP DUC (google it).

You need to forward the ports in your router to your LAN IP (prob something like 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.100 or 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.100)

All IP's should be LAN in your configs apart from the LoginServer and the LoginServer in your DB.

I know this is a simple quick guide I can write it better later if needed.

One question For what he need no ip? zyxel have loopback and dont need no ip... i have zyxel ..

u need go to cmd put telnet and ip of ur router for example
telnet 192.168.1.1
say put password put password (maybe are 1234)
and put ip nat loopback on

No IP is for others to connect, if you restart your router and get a different WAN IP the DNS automatically updates it. It just saves you from constantly posting new IP address's

On king it does work, it all depends on the length of the DNS name you are using. As for some reason it won't read it properly over a certain length
