Can only be a good thing for people wanting an iPhone.

O2 could basically charge what ever they wanted, as they know people will pay it to have an iPhone.

Now with Orange having it, they will have to start competing, Orange will come out with a better deal, then O2 will match or better it, and round in circles we go.

Hope they do bring it down, i pay £52.50 a month for my contract 1200 mins and 500 txt's but i got unlimited txt bundle so it was £45 + £7.50 i lost my job but still managed to pay the bills, its not hard just need to handle your money with care, hopefully O2 will bring down prices now that orange are getting the Iphone, Anyone who's thinkin about getting a Iphone on contract don't go for anything £40+ just buy the £30 one and get +7.50 packages :) save yourself some money wish i did this now rather go down to £30 + 15 for both unlimited bundles than pay £52.50 and only get one bundle

Can you cut a contract short, e.g. say you had the phone for what 8 months on a 12 month contract and don't want it, can you do this?

no but you can change your tarrif after 9 months (which i just did) but you can only bring it down 1 lower per month so you have to keep may have to ring for a couple of months to get to £30 if you got the £45+

Been with both, and tbh I'd say Orange was the best, especially for 3g coverage.
And i didnt want to go with orange as I thought they was ****.

O2, WiFi coverage is very good, as well as 3G and Edge coverage.

I have a 3GS (32Gb), missus has the 3G (8Gb), the 3GS is noticably better performance... don't get suckered into getting the 3G just because its free on the lower contracts.
