for my next phone i wanna get one of these, i havnt played with either, but i know both are good.

i like the look of the blackberry more, but iv heard the software on it isnt as good as the iphone.

though i hate apple products, especially itunes, its just way too sluggish on windows.

what are peoples thoughts on these 2 phones?

Stay away from the storm its utter crap, i dunno about the new 1 coming out but the 1st 1 was junk, theres only one choice for touch screen phones atm and thats the iphone the battery life is poor but it can offer app's/games that you cant get from any other phone.

If your not in a hurry to get a phone id advise you 2 wait until the n900 comes out to see how well that does cause atm it sounds like the iphone killer.

the screen on that thing is huge:blink:

And they are crisp clear. Fantastic phones, I had the original HD, loved it, was just too fiddly for me on Windows Mobile.

Hunter, the HTC Hero is a fantastic touch screen phone, as is the HD.

Samsung's touch screens are brilliant, even since the first Tocco that came out.
The new Samsung is apparantley brilliant, a bloke I know works in the mobile industry and providing large companies with phones, he says a big company have just sent their iPhones back and got the Samsung i8910 and they love it.

With regards the apps, the N97 is slowly creeiping up with iPhone in that department, the Ovi store has loads of great apps, just like on the Apple store for iPhone. So i'm sure other phones will also start doing the same. So I agree with JealY and he's an iPhone bum!

ovi store may have alot but most of it is crap. the htc hero is a good phone my mates got 1 but it's kinda lame unless you've got an unlimited data plan

Same with the apple Apps to be fair, and dont forget the N97 is new, the iPhone has had apps been made for it for... how many years now?

All "smart phones" are useless without an unlimited data plan, hence why most providers offer this to you in the contract.

It is, the iPhone SDK was released on March 27, 2008. So it's a year and 7 odd months nearly.
