Just want 2 no, are you able 2 link 2 servers on the server caption part of log in even if the 2 servers have 2 different hosts.

yes... you can use 1 login server -> many DB server/game server.

realy yur just setting up 2 servers normally and running them off a different gate name or port or watever i think

yup there 2 hosts completly different i jst want 2 be able 2 select either on the server choice screen ingame.

yeah.. just setup 2 independent servers first... then remove 1 of the login server and login gate... and edit the ini files on the dbsrv and !setup to put to the other login server. ie... port 5500/5600

yes that's all you have to do... you might have to change the "server number/index" but I didn't do it.. I have ei + job + 3g all together once. now just ei+3g

Then why didn't lomcn think of this.. just make someone connect to a host and u type in user and pass and it displays all possible servers, and if they are 1.9 or 1.4 and u need to download patches :O

I think it is useless, private servers have usually something like 10-15 users online, so it would be 7 people on each server =/, not much IMO.

guide? that's the whole guide...

just setup 2 independent servers first...
make them all 100% working (in terms of connecting)
close the login server and login gate you don't need and edit 3 files...

1. the ini files on the dbsrv
2. the !setup.txt's IDSADDR
make sure these 2 files are pointing to your login server... ie... there should be something that said port 5600 so change the address for that port to the right ip.

3. !serveraddr.txt in loginserver should have the ip that's connecting the server or else you will get MasSoc Invalid something error.

1.4 - 1.9 ei job ptw anything you like... you just need to use a login server that works.
