im sick of vista, with its permission rights, and not playing my games, and memory leaking. so i wanna go back to xp

it possible to return to xp without formatting, and without losing all my registry info and messing my pc up?

nope there no way i think u could just back all info up and that all i no you can do mate is backup all ur infomation and the reformat the pc i ask my mate he works for a computer place he mite no

Although it may take more hassle, your best bet for performance/compatibility simply is reformatting.

Yes you can do it...

Boot your WinXP CD and in the blue setup just install another partion called ' WINXP' and that will install XP for you, to remove the old vista folder you will need Erd Commander, You can download an image file of it off a torrent.

When you have setup xp, boot the erd commander cd and wait for it to load, then just go on my computer, then your hd and delete the old vista files like that.

that doesnt solve the registry problem where nothing old appears in the add/removes.

gone back to xp through formatting. was quite suprised it registered ok seeing as though this is virtually a new pc.

THe only thing u can do is fully format it al back up all saved games and thats all u can do mate soz! to say that but it is only way i asked my bro as well hes a pc wizz kid lol and theres no other way.

save your registry to file then copy it over along with files to xp you cant save all of it as obviously vista reg is diff to xp but copy things over like applications should work.

xps now being more annoying than vista. i cant win. vlc/divx/gom, all freeze wen i ask it to play a video. and wen i do certain things my pc freezes aswell.

i just want my pc to work dammit!!!!!!!!
