Is it too late to join the party?

Hey everyone.. Not played Mir for a couple of years now, something randomly popped up on YouTube earlier and has kind of given me the itch to play again.

I'm guessing from the looks of server counts that this is the server to play right now, I'm just wondering whether I'm too late to compete.. How's the levelling etc for someone just starting out? And also can anyone give me any tips on the better classes for hunting bosses / lvling?

Make a wizz get lvl 30 and solo crystal. U'll be 44-45 in no time.
They good in pvp / pk also with mc gems in kit and lk6 d staff u'll get fw's that hit 100's , ff's that hit 250+ (some ppl in good kit can hit close to 400 with it, if player is red psned ), blizz that hits like (6 times; each arround 50 or more) which is op...imo blizz should do decent dmg and slow,shouldnt hit this hard because that's what MET STRIKE is for...but hey that's just me.

Things to know about Wizards on here:

Weakest class for killing bosses by far (best I've managed is Bone lord at level 42 with 60MC, must have took at least 30 minutes)
Cant duo TS/FF - Doesn't flinch/stun mobs so you get hammered.
Shield is weak (50% instead of 70%) - Also worth mentioning that the base damage of all monsters is risen compare to normal, which makes this worse!
Very effective at FW/Lightning combination (especially in Crystal Cave F1 - One of the best and most contested levelling areas)
FF/Blizzard/Met/GS extremely rare books, majority don't seem to have them - You will be the weakest class in PVP until you have these.


If I was joining, I would probably roll Tao, they are very strong on here.

Make a Tao if you want to solo the game PvE wise once you get shinsu, you're pretty average pvp until PoisonCloud, but it's 40M on TM.

Make a Sin if you want to get rich quickly through subbing, or duo bossing with another sin, and enjoy Cave PKing. All you need is ShadowStep - 8M on TM. If you want, you can snap up SwiftFeet and BackStab for a measly 2m gold too.

Make a Wizz if you enjoy dominating group fighting and FW-Lightning levelling. You will however suck for 99% of your existence until you get your spells. FlameField is 44M on TM. Glacial and Blizzard aren't on TM but go for around 30M-40M if they ever pop up. I hope you like PSC/PT, because to afford those spells you'll be living here selling books!

Make an Archer if you want to have the best of all worlds of each class in all pve/pvp aspects of the game. Soloing bosses is tricky though. Your best skills are all cheap but NapalmShot your best AoE lvling skill will set you back 25M on TM.

Make a Warrior if you want to be a way slower version of a sin. Rage will set you back 20M, but the rest is cheap. I'd honestly just make a sin.

To become a top tier wizz/archer kit wise, it's relatively cheap as you just need MC.

To become a top tier sin/warrior, it's very expensive no matter what you do.

To become a top tier Tao, you can wear shop kit.

Goodluck, and now is probably your best time of joining and getting a foothold before the xmas event starts - you aren't too late to the party.

Whats this? A useful post on lomcn that's not a dig at someone or something!? haha Good feedback for new players there, you nearly had me wanting to start up ;D

Unless you're willing to play all day every day and are gunna be in one of the top guilds then you have no chance at ever seeing any good items or rare skills as there's nothing for casual players through levelling etc on this server. If you can pile hours and hours in all the time and enjoy just doing the same crap over & over again like PSC KR fill your bag TT repeat etc then cash will take a long long time to pile up. I have a 44 Wizz and other than FW + Lightning levelling in CC it's absolutely useless and painful to play. I'd say make a Tao if you want to try and get bosses and subs but this will be rare on here as everything is constantly camped and timed but you can try as I have. another option like alot of people on here is to just play with your wallet this is the only way you'll get gear and skills that compete on here other than joining big guilds which isn't easy as they're all clicky. I'm an experienced player and have always done great on past servers without spending a penny but on here I've found it to be a real struggle to get anywhere, lots of people are in the same boat but nothing is changing. I started "late" and I play a couple of hours each day. I have no problem finding people for bosses or with leveling. People will tell you it's a struggle, but that's Mir for you. It's not difficult to earn money if you go to the right places and it doesn't require bosses. If you enjoy Mir, go for it, plenty of other new players about and the server count is 250+ in daytime and 100-150 on a night.

You do not need to buy anything on this server, so ignore the above post. If you level well and become friends with even 1 person in a big guild, you could get in. It is not difficult.

Tao, kill any boss.
Warrior, solo most boss / subs
Assassin, similar to warrior
Archer, some boss, all subs
Wizard, lol.

Ignore the people that cry and moan, they're doing it wrong.

Never to late. (its a very active server and good GM'S keeping the server upto date) Roll what ever class u want. Sin / Tao's very good
Join a guild and im sure they will help u out.
Give me a pm in game ( /STOKE ) and i don't mind giving u a few tips / might even help u get a few early levels
