as above, anybody interested in this server has or would have by now looked at that thread, with 172 views and realistically thats about 100 people roughly. i feel like the server had everyones attention in april/may but now things really have gone shall we say "quiet as a mouse"

Apocalypse Mir2 Not as of yet, we are hoping for more promising news mid-end of July

Looks like it won't be released until at least August. From their facebook page

All I've heard the server team say is how this server will not be run anything like Chronicles... Yet in my opinion, it's been run exactly the same. They jumped the gun and got excited about releasing **** to early, and now people have got to the point where they can't be assed anymore.

Where do you see this? Saying we are "on track" sounds like you have a road map with a date so when are you expecting the server complete? All we hear for over a month now is "we are working on it". Really gives me a bad Chronicles vibe. I understand you lot got jobs/ this is a hobby just kinda losing everyone here with the copy paste reply that doesn't really answer anything.

Peaked too early, got all the hype and it's slowly dropping off.

Will still get a good UC when it goes live, but I feel like they've done it wrong by having a BETA over 2 months ago and it's still not live.

Think a flurry of Betas with each beta having a higher starting level to test different content as it is developed would have kept more people entertained over the time, would have also helped them test and alter things on a larger scale. As Skyline says though, although people are complaining, it's still going to attract a ton of players at release, how long they'll stick around is another matter though.

The issue, at hand is not that we have peaked too early... its that we needed to peak early. The Crystal Files, are very unstable and buggy, if we did not hold a BETA(please note... that a beta is for testing not to say a game is coming out) the game would be very buggy. We are finalising things and getting things ready, as many players would agree patience is a virtue.

As for the Chronicles comment, i cannot speak for the majority of players how they feel, however all i can say is we do not make promises we cannot keep or deliver. Apocalypse has not released any information about an ETA or failed to deliver, therefore we ask our potential user base to stay on-board with us, and enjoy the summer weather.

If anybody wishes to gain any more information please do not hesitate to ask.

I don't think that is fair at all.
You cannot blame someone that feels they have been lied to and received a number of different reasons/excuses from different members of the server team to not feel a little unhappy and express that dissatisfaction.

The issues I see, is that the server team have 1 MAIN coder, he had exams during beta stage 3 so everything important ended up on a long long list.
Now that exams are done I'm sure said person has now entered the real world and Is working or searching for work.

The problem i see is that people are expecting a dedicated server team 24/7 this will never happen on a server worth playing because all the good coders (the ones that make new stuff abd fix big issues) all have jobs and cannot give the server that much time. I would not be surprised at all if dayidie or whatever his name was only puts 10% of the time he used to while between lectures at Uni now that hes in the real world.

End of the day, the server has promising features, some strong but busy server staff and some server staff that cant do much more than edit a ready made drop file but are along for the ride,

An advertised beta was too early but a secret one would have caused further corruption comments from people like me. one thing for sure is that a testing period was clearly required as the server has been "in work" ever since.

I hope they manage to complete the server and dedicate enough time to managing it effectively but i very much doubt its going to have the support required with such a small team trying to live their lives and run a server.
You see it regularly with chronicles. they have a bigger team and more coders but they move house, go on works do's take holidays, have children, wives and lives.
people expect too much from these sort of things.

give them time to finish the server then hope and pray that they can dedicate enough time to running it so that your time and effort was well invested.

Ill be waiting for month 6 before I even log on to take a look as my time is precious these days with all of the above commitments.

Lol he hasn't been lied to or fed any false information...The information he's been receiving and spreading, is quite simply his own made up bullshit that he's constantly attempting to pass off as the teams responses

This. I have come out after finishing my exams with a list of things needing to be done (things have been worked on by the rest of the team while I was away) however I hadn't anticipated the scale of what needed to be done when it first started and as time has gone on there has been more and more expectation and demand.

I've also realized that I need to get some work experience due to my up coming year in industry. I need things to make me stand out from the crowd rather than being the same as everyone else doing my degree - yes coding this server is unique and shows many skills from group working, programming, meeting user needs and so on but it's not like I'm going to go shouting about mir to my potential employer when I don't even tell my friends :P

I don't know what has been said about the server by xx69xx or DVS however we all have our own views and opinions and from my coding perspective it may require a lot of tweaking but from xx69xx's in game testing he may think we are not far off finishing. I can only say we are still here working through this gradually - if I or any other team member were to stop working on the server due to other commitments we would inform you.
