I have been playing mir 2 and 3 for years and i am thinking of starting this server, but before i start i just want to know if this server is legal? All servers die but this looks like it wont for a extra bit of time than any other, but because of the increased interest im thinking will it go down in a month or 2 or 3 because it doesn't have permission from original mir owners....or i could just be thinking to much into this

Has a lot of potential, but balancing needs to be done/kept on top of.
3 class 2 hit each all classes 3 for warriors. The other 2 classes tickle.
im not complaining as with 5 classes there will be balance issues, its expected.
if you intend to play solo,im afraid there is nothing for you in kitting up. Drops only seem to drop from bosses. Im 42 and im still in dg, corals and 26 sin wep, med stone and amythest necky.

Not really....I'm asking if it is worth playing because of the huge amount of players, surely it will get more attention from people they wouldn't want attention from?
just dont start with wizzard its the weakest class on game many have leave because of that.

Well let's hope the official game owners look at their work in a different light, maybe they'l give them a European license to legally retail the game as a f2p.
Then again, they could think negatively and completely ass rape the team of all their earnings and suck the life outa them.

This is what I'm worried of, with more players it brings more word of mouth, or even a unhappy player reporting them themselves

I don't think wemade would bother shutting the server down as long as the hosts are not directly charging players money for an account.
If they still had a European server they probably would as it would then be direct competiton for their own server and they'd be loosing money for every player this server has. They would also probably threaten legal action if there was a 3rd party official server in Europe as it would probably be written into the contract that they would not allow any other European server while the contract with the 3rd party host was in effect.
As it stands, it would cost them money to even make the theat, and i doubt there'd be much point in spending anything on legal fees while the server remains outside their current market area.

Seems to be some speed hax going around tho so not sure playing on a server with cheats is worth starting now
I've had my fair share of fighting, I've yet to see evidence of speed cheating to be honest. Might be some suspicious targeting behaviours but not speeding.

In terms of worth of the server, I am proud to say that the uc speaks for itself
...As for the legality of the server, it is a private server.
I believe WeMade will only begin to show an interest if we start taking business away from them; euro players are potentially fair game as they limit their account creations to Korean citizens.
My suspicion is they will remain disinterested, which is great as we can continue to provide you with a great game, however, if they do show some interest lets hope it is recognition that there is still a player base in Europe and its worth them reopening a server, after all myself and the teams goal is to keep a great childhood game alive rather than to make a quick buck.

server is 100% worth playing, im personaly enjoying every second of it, regardless of what people think about the balance and drop rate.
ignore the people putting a downer on it and give it a try yourself, im pritty sure its going to be around longer then 2-3 months, there have been many servers that have been up for years, hopfully this will be one of them.
If wemade had any problems, they would of shut down lom privet servers in the earlyer days when they were supplying euro with a server.
It would cost Wemade alot more in legal fees to make a legitimate case, then they would make if they won a case, so its not even worth there time.

without a doubt YES it is definately worth playing. there is a fantastic team working really hard in the background and not for an ounce of profit.
I dont know them irl but i have to say i am genuinely proud of their acheivement to date.
There are some teething issues with balancing, Wizz in particular but, currently no gem or weapon refine. but overall its a great place to play.

Some p servers last a few years. How long were you thinking was necessary for it to be worth bothering?

Totally worth it, for nostalgia if nothing else.

I can see the OP point, on one hand high ucount gives it hopes for many yrs running, on the other its success might potentially attract unwanted attention. Likely that won't happen though.
Otherwise I also think like the previous post says that koreans are greedy, prob wouldn't be able to cut a resonable deal with them if they got interested in something like that.

If they do show interest, then it would probably be a good idea to get the ownership yourself's (i'm sure you can chat a load of **** on this matter).
After all , your engine is far better than theres (graphically) ...and if you follow some main rules given by bigger games like WoW and Tera then you might actually fix the balancing problem.
To me the server is worth playing, 100%.
Just remember, unlike some on here don't seem to understand, its a low rate server, drops are harder to come by, but seem so much better when you get them!
