Its been awhile mir 3.

So I am thinking about getting a server up for a few friends of mine... And well. I havnt been keeping up with the mir 3 community. Its been a good maybe 4 years since my last gallop with mir 3 hosting. Just seeking some general information before getting started again, I will need to relearn abunch of things for sure.

My main question is. What are the most recent files out there as of late. There seem to be so many releases posted. Its really hard to tell them apart. I favor old JOB as opposed to the new PTW? Does that make any sense? haha.

I will honestly say Im not too sure the differences between these server types anymore.

Anyways, it would be great if anyone would fill in an old timer like me with the latest mir 3 buzz.

There's only really 2 lots of files in use nowadays, they're both PtW. King files i believe are buggier (theres cheats in them afaik that are hardcoded) but they have more features, and theres the CruelDragon 3.55 files.

New emulator been worked on but thats quite far from release standard for a server yet. The old Job files are still knocking around somewhere, Demonics original LSjob set if you want a Job server, theres alot missing from these though in comparison to a newer mir3 server.

bro i recomend u not to use JOB files LS i used them, and they are buged as hell, i dont know why in ****ing hell, most of skills doesnt work i mean IMPORTANT skills like defi temp gte all those (transparency, migt bekon interchance)

Thank you guys for posting. Ive just setup 3.55, so far so good. Gonna convert it to JOB starting from bichon province. It shall give me time to relearn how all the scripting/settings work. Will gradually get a server going during downtime and while im not at work. Currently setting up npc placements and monster spawns, very exciting stuffs... Brings back loads of great memories.

Will hopefully have a good base done by next year spring.
