Ive redone everything like 6 times.

Right, befor i wiped my laptop i put my server files on disk for backup, but now ive put them back onto my laptop and i keep getting this problem

Now ive gone thro all the updates again and ive gone thro all the edits that needed to be made in the SQL DB, but i still keep getting this error how do i fix it ??

Have you tried rebooting your pc? Some times SQL gets abit confused i guess And needs fully re-opeining, Especially after the first install. So give a reboot a try matey.

Nop i still get the same problem, is there any other reason why this cud be going on, it worked fine befor

Make sure your inis are setup with the correct DB name and correct password and use the ID sa.

I believe that error is due to a wrong IP or port. double, triple check all the files.

All IPs are set to 127.0.0.1 , all ports are fine, the passwords for SQL is also fine.

Ive had that error a few times with my server.
As Zen said check your SQL Passwords or reset it. Dont forget ur SQL password is in 2 folders not just the one
