Hi, Jamie,
I searched all topics in this forum and didn't find anything regarding how current sin skills are modified from the original skills of Mir3 GSP. Would mind sharing these details and sticky it on top so that new player who didn't play test server can have a better understanding?
From an old sin fan's view:
Sin has been weakened in earlier stage of game by delete life-steal set, but has been empowered in later stage by giving passive life-steal which enable sin class to equip high DC item while having a passive life steal.
Cloak now seems can be seen by players who's level is higher than you. When right click running, cloak stage breaks.
I see New beginning spell, but does it still provide additional damage for flashlight by consuming 2 points of new beginning charges?
Has damage of Lotus calculation changed a lot, because some friends told me sin in this server don't need luck 9 set anymore? Is it true?

BTW, Still so sad that Karma was removed, but I respect your balance choice for now because I feel each class can be quite strong, and no class is weak in an obvious way.

I can see high level wiz laughing since wraith grip can only be effective when your level is higher than the target player, while this skill was effective for players' level no more than 3 levels higher. (eg, sin lvl 45 can grip up to lvl 48 wiz )

i feel like its balanced quite well, no way of balancing karma so im happy its not in game and im a sin myself.

my only issue is alot of sins kill ability is determined by level, as wraith grip is a huge disable but only works by being higher level, the same with dance of swallows only stunning if higher level, and with the way there is no flinch only run restriction, without the stun its hard to get off a sucsessful combo to a moving target. So with no Rake in game theres no way to disable or engage a high level target who is running (with dance of swallow)

i would like to see either the stun on dance of swallows totally removed to be replaced by a slow effect for 2 seconds weather the target is higher level or not. or, maybe wraith grip if used on higher level will just slow the target, and if they are lower level it does the normal wraith grip effect

having to check rankings in a pvp so you can know weather or not your grip will work is not possible or if trying to grip someone not knowing their level it just makes your char just stand there and try to cast wraith grip.

apart from that i think values are similar to official i know that summon puppet now has dc scaling so seems quite weak early but should scale better into late game, and sins now focus on lotus skills for their damage, with it something like your on hit dmg + % max mana modifier now on each of the 4 lotuses.

the lifesteal changes are also a great addition, removing the 'one build for all sins' meta with every sin just having 3 or even 5 lifesteal items on without needing kit variations to a way that sins can now have more kit options

any thoughts on this from other sins?

Thanks for sharing your opinions. You mentioned slow effect as a suggestion which recalled me that sin used to have a slow skill which worked as using the spell to give the 1st hit in cloak. I don't quite remember the name of the spell, but it showed out a frozen claw when using.

I think it's called Rake

The "Slow" or Freeze effect has been removed from players all together. You cannot freeze or slow another player at all, with any spell.

Its nice to see the focus has shifted from being everyone plays a Sin because they are way OPed.

Be interesting to see how the shifts in skills, damage etc plays out when the majority of players are 50+ in PvP for bosses etc.

Bloody flower book helps negate the life steal set, which resulted in a 1 kit sin. While this has mainly changed to vigor for the mana scaling it does allow players a change of kit without being gimped .

Sins where developed by wemade way after wars/taos/wiz, so a lot of their pvp skills had a substantial level difference to allow sins to pvp when people rerolled. They never addressed this on the USA/GSP versions but they are now inline with all other classes abilities to interact with other players, ie repulse/kick/becon/inter etc, you just need to change your pvp style when fighting same/higher level players as a sin.

Karma was OP as **** glad it is not ingame.


I think Jamie has done a good job balancing all the classes, some people may prefer the older versions but i think each one has its strengths and weaknesses

Looks like in official they have finally addressed this, as everything had a revamp. See my suggestion thread. It may allow for some of the skills that have been excluded and some things that have been changed to be reverted (if desired) and still maintain balance.
