i just got a ban for asking him about a rumour flying round about some corruption , and got accused of starting it and i got my char deleveled and made red , and then booted and banned
is this the stuff u do if ur a proper gm ???

Lapta is a retard. You played his server which makes you almost as bad as him. Always look into a server owners past before playing their servers, in my personal opinion. If the GM's a spanner, 9 times out of 10 the server won't work.

New (stable) files > old ones. MirRev's been working on 2.6 files for a little while now, when they're done, then it'll be interesting to see how numbers go. People are welcome to argue over that as much as they like (I'm sure they will, lol), but I'm interested in seeing how it pans out. ^^

Just an fyi, it's now HR/LR/Extreme (Extreme had some problems with the previous owners, so it's being redone), MediumRate was taken down ages ago and is being relaunched as Evolution (currently in Closed Beta stage) which has a silly-long list of changes.

People can abuse Lapta until the cows come home (seems like they do), but considering he's had a server online over 2 years with over 100 players on daily, he must be doing something right, no? Love him or hate him, he clearly knows how to keep people playing.

yer i logged on and saw his 2.6 files about 2months ago... not translated and full of bugs lol. whos meant to be coding for lapta? i seen his silly posts about how he works 16hours straight a day on them (LOL). never heard so much bs from 1 guy (appart from Mia/dave)

its not that hes doin it right, its simply because he got lucky. he somehow managed to spread the word and was at that right time where every1 was leaving euro for something else... they are all the sheep that as above i just siad, are not willing to try out any other server

so because of that they just go to MR and stay at MR, not willing to try anything better... eventually u do get ppl leaving and actually tryin other servers and then they say how **** MR is lol

Ben you played his server for ages and eventually got yourself banned from it at which point you made old skool, which went well until something happened and you had to close it (i dont know the details so wont go further on that) you now have you new four heros server which gets slated on MR (before we put a stop to the threads), just like MR gets slated on OldSkool/FourHeros im sure, some reasons are probably founded others are probably unfounded and just stem from rumours on both sides of the fence.

i dont have a problem with you or your server - what i have a problem with is some of the crap you talk about.

when you say you logged on to the 2.6 files lapta had going 2 months ago.... thats great, they wernt the real ones.

the only people that had logged on to the real 2.6 files 2 months ago whilst they were being recoded for MR are myself, Penny, Lapta and the coder him self and yes they were buggy due to the fact the code wasnt finished. im sure if you unstand the coding process you dont have finish product over night

so please do what sensible people have done and reserve judgment until you actually get a chance to play the real files.



as for calling everyone from Euro a sheep thats just stupid - way to go insulting many people that might actually try your server but now wont because of some petty comment lol



as for laptas servers.

Low rate is run by my wife to be. (goes by the online name of Shirley)
Extreme is run by me
HR is run by Lapta
Evo will be run by Renatus and Cerberus (who i dont think you know as they wernt around when you were playing MR)


and as for the servers being better than one another - its really a players personal opinion, not one which can be made by the server owner otherwise every server out there would be saying they are the best.

Erm do you mean more like 4-5 months ago? As Lone said, it's not possible that you tried 2 months ago, as it was on a closed server, the ones that were open (which I also tried) were the basic starting ones, just to show people what Assassins/Tigers looked like - Funnily enough even on those files both worked, though Assassins didn't have more than about 3 skills as it was an outdated Database.

I've tried a few different servers, including 3 of the 4 MR ones (HR, MR and Extreme), most of the non-MR servers were on 10-30 active players, though I did stay on Massacre (1.9) for quite a long time, we had a nice pop of 40-50 players most days for the better part of a year. Everyone has their own opinion; Personally I'm not a fan of HR (been up for 2 years, new starters are therefore at a disadvantage, which is expected), I'm too impatient to play a low rate server, but MR I loved when it was up and Extreme seems to be coming along nicely. At the end of the day, assuming you don't refuse to try a MR server due to it being connected to Lapta (even though he only runs HR, doesn't touch the others), you'll find MirRevenge has a server for everyone, 2.6 is the next step forward.

Lapta has an external Coder, one that has been doing Coding since before we knew what a computer was, so it's safe to say he knows what he's doing.

I know you hate him (let's not go in to reasons), but you can't deny the fact that his collection of servers are very successful, he has no hand in running anything other than HR (which he runs alone, as far as I'm aware), but they're all using his files and are ran by people who work alongside him. HR after two years is still on 130+ users at peak times, that alone puts it on par with 4H? It's at least fairly close.

Honest opinion here, the only people I've heard put MirRevenge down have been banned. No-one says anything that is along the lines of "I'm leaving, this is ****", they do however say "This particular thing is ****, can you change it?" then it gets changed and they find something else to complain about, the way of England/the internet. ^^
