I'm just curious as to what the difference between the new market place map is and all your other maps, I'm asking this because when I go to the market place I get no lap what so ever but if I go to bw even without there being any stalls there I lagg like hell. This doesn't just go for BW though its pretty much every map including caves, for those who ain't aware of what I'm talking about its the sluggish/bag weight type lag. Now could this be due to there being motion graphics stuff on the market map or what? I'm finding it rather strange that's all, iv previously never had problems with any other mir server besides this! When I first bought the laptop 3 year ago I used to run WoW on it on medium graphics no problem and to be quite frank it's starting to really p me off, I can't pvp, I can't attend sw wars because of it.. **** sometimes I can't even get away from mobs! In all honestly I don't want to go spend hundreds of pounds on upgrading to a decent laptop or a decent desktop, however I have considered it but when I think twice why should I waste my money when I have bills to pay? I know you guys are really busy with other things on this server but I'm sure a hell of a lot of other players who have the same problem would agree it needs addressing or if we had some knowledgement on why this is happening, I mean my laptop isn't exactly Stone Age either!

It does seem much smoother in market place. Maybe its because its a well small map.

I would like to say that, I have two Desktop PCs and they both run AceM2 Server fine without lagg issues. (atleast not any like you talk about)

Yet my brother uses a Laptop to play and he DOES experience lag like you mention.. although this has been the case with other files as well...

Comparing WoW and Mir is pointless as the games are completely different... i could compare Skyrim to New Vegas but it would be pointless.. Although there made by the same company.. and use the same engine, Skyrim always runs smoother then New Vegas does.

The problem is most likely a Gfx card issue (unlikely for mir) or a Resolution issue. I may be wrong but these two things are usually the first place i look into for fixes.

If its my graphics card there isn't much I can do with it being a laptop I suppose, but as for resolution iv tried everything possible, in game resolution, desktop resolution and nothing changes the way it runs. I suppose there's not much I can do really, like I say I just find it really weird that the market map runs perfectly fine compared to every other map I visit, it makes hunting in groups very difficult as this makes the issue worse. I know they are a completely new set of files but I don't think that it should make a difference to this lag a lot of us are experiencing! The only thing I can put it down to is the updated graphics on the maps, which I wouldn't want to change anyway as its unique and very different from other servers which makes this server look a ton better than others.
