New Client Patching System
Kaos client has been updated via XPGDN, the new patching system will check for an update only when you click 'play' if an update is found it will download that prior to launching the game, this should help save bandwidth for those of you that can't always download the patches (3g/4g or limited bandwidth users). The patcher should also significantly reduce the download and install times.
Any XPGDN related issues are just as important, if you have any issue please report it as a bug along with any screenshots or additional information you can. At a minimum we will need:
Operating System (example: windows xp, 64-bit)
Error Message: As text or a screenshot will be fine.
Can Reproduce?: are you able to replicate the error and if so can you provide the steps to do so.
Skill System - Spell Strength Re-balance
The game wouldn't be very balanced if we used all the default skill strengths and progression, so we have been working hard to make it possible to change those strengths to better suit our vision for Kaos. This will mean that all skills will need to be re-tested to make sure the each progressive skill is more powerful than the last according to our skill trees. More details will be released on this closer to patch release.
Build System - Stats per Level
The stats have had there final tweaks to bring each build a unique stat growth pattern, this should further benefit play styles and should create some very interesting character builds.
Character Ascension (Lv200 Classes)
At level 200 you have the opportunity to progress your character into a specialised class, for CP1 we have 4 ascension options for each build, each build offers a unique base stat boost tailored to your preferred play style. You also unlock the ability to advance 7 select skills to level 5.
The stats and skills available to each of the ascension classes is listed below:
Strength Ascension Builds
Title: Berserker
Bonus: Health, Melee Damage (+HP 200, +DC 80)

Starting Island - Pre-Faction Safe Zone
Atlis will become the 'starter island', it is cut off from the rest of the world protected, higher level characters can't return here to prey on the weak after they join there respective Faction. Atlis will be available for characters level 1-50 introducing all the core elements of Kaos, and helping you learn the basics of all you need to know to survive in the Faction Wars.
Faction Islands
After leaving Atlis and choosing your deserved faction you will have a new home in the Factions Island (Jayde - Lotus | Kavendor - Dragon). The islands themselves are unaccessable to the opposing faction so this will be the safest place to setup your trades/shops. Each island will have access to all the necessary shops, artisans, quest-givers and trainers. There will be a option in your 'D Menu' to return to your Faction Island at any time.
Global PvP
On the main world PvP is completely open between factions, if you see someone from the opposite faction you should probably take them out before they get you!
PvP stats are included in your 'D Menu' so you can keep an eye in real-time how you are doing, kills, deaths, honour. We have added 2 new entries to the stats to add a new spin on PvP, You can now track the last person that killed you (for revenge purposes!) and the last person you managed to kill.
Waypoints
All waypoints have been sorted in preparation for the following test patch (v0.1.60) however they can be tested in v0.1.50 each town based map in the World (excluding Faction Islands and Atlis) will have a seperate entry point for lotus and dragon. for now if you can find and test all waypoints are linking up correctly that will help us prep for the next patch!
Mob balancing - Atlis
Our first effort will be to create balanced mobs on Atlis, these mobs will range from level 1-50 in strength, the leveling speed needs to average out at 2-5 hours of play to get to level 50 based on play style.
