We are focusing on addressing issues from launch, I will put up a proper server add covering all the additions and changes soon, in a nutshell we have just completed our 600th code commit (SVN speak for those that don't know what I'm talking about) since launching.

Areas are now complete with items to match up to level 120, with more coming, we are releasing a major content patch within the next 2 weeks which should give us the proper starting point we were after.

Accounts are also now fully automated in prep for that release.

We would also like to express our thanks to those of you that joined on launch day and helped us propel our development efforts.

Once the next patch is released the following issues amongst many others will be addressed making the game much more playable and enjoyable for all.

The start-mid game is properly implemented
The exp speeds will also be fixed (we know this was a huge issue!)

When you say code comment to svn , you guys have the soruce code for kings?

No Source Code (I would have shared a find like that!)
We have our own development backend in SVN for our own scripts/systems.

The server is officially enter open beta, 1st July.
But the first major patch, which ill make the game less Beta and More Live is coming ~1st September.

So here's our monthly development breakdown, a little late this month!

New Staff
SSJ4Goku returns to the DevTeam temporarily to help finish up some of the arranged PvP systems and minigames.

Misc Updates
Elemental Pets adjusted
Pets now have same base stats to allow them to survive longer, Skins change each mob after basic.
Efreet, Celsius, Sylph, Volt, Aska, Shadow, Ifrit pets fixed.
AlbonGreatBlade, AlbonSagakBlade, AlbonWisdomStaff added to mines drops Level 44 items.
DwellersBlade added in Deepmarsh, and BlackDell mobs drops Level 52 items.
New level 60 Forest Items added
New Level 90 Bandit items added
All maps from deepmarsh onwards have increased mob numbers.
Harvest CarnivorousPlants to find revival roses.
New Chest loot system added.
Classes now start with a free level 5 skill.
strength gets swordmanship level 5.
magic gets fireball level 5.
spirit gets healing level 5.
Hide mobs added for skinning.
Plant mobs added for Herbalism.

Artisan Expansions
Artisan Crafting System

In Kaos you don't just focus on your own skills and leveling, if you want to achieve true power, you will need a little help. This help comes in the form of Artisans, Personal NPCs that you can invest in to help them improve their skills and services. Each investment (or upgrade) provides new items or services for the player to take advantage of.

Blacksmith
The blacksmith artisan is a weapons crafter, giving players to opportunity make use of those materials and craft 1 of 168 weapons. This artisan can be upgraded to level 20, offering services that use stone and smelted ore materials.
Upgrade Cap: 20
Services: Weapons Crafting and Smelting Services (168 Weapons, 8 Weapon Types)
Each new metal provides a substantial stat increase.

Forge
The forge is a Utility NPC that links the blacksmith artisan and the mining profession. Allowing players to smelt ore based materials into more sort after crafting metals.
Upgrade Cap: 8
Services: Weapons Crafting and Smelting Services (7 Forge Upgrades)

Gem Crafter
The Gem Crafter artisan will help players gradually create more expensive gems, whilst in CP1 Gems are solely for trading purposes, we have big plans for these in the near future, See Socketeer.

Services: Gem Crafting (70 Gems over 10 Tiers of Increased Quality)

Vault Keeper
The Vault Keeper artisan will provide your character with an expanded inventory storage system. Offering not only the standard item storage you will be used to (Inn Storage), but also some special addons to help you store profession and artisan items. The addons currently include, Mining and Gems, which allow you to store any Mining or Gem items in a seperate storage vault, leaving valuable space for your equipment storage. Addons allow you to store each item into stacks of upto 100,000 currently.

Services: Item Storage (Equipment, Profession Items)

Tanner
A utility NPC that allows players to cure hides and scales obtained from Animals.
Level Cap: 20
Services: Hide/Scale Curing

Socketsmith (Under Development)
An NPC capable of inserting a gem into a specially crafted socket on an item. Each Gem contains different imbuing properties, allowing for further item customisations.
Level Cap: 20
Services: Socketing Items, Gem Removal (Add a Gem Socket to items, remove existing gems from items)

Profession Expansions
Professions System

The core system is now in place, and although we have a number of jobs planned, additional jobs will be released in future updates.
Currently professions levels are capped at Lv320, leaving future content patches to add to this.

The professions system adds a whole host of passive skills and offers an alternative to the level grind process. For CP1 (Call to Arms) we are adding 6 skills for you to play with, 3 Harvesting, 3 Manufacturing. Mining, Skining and Herbalism will allow you to harvest various materials from random areas around the world, while Smelting, Tanning and Alchemy will allow you to refine harvested materials for use with crafting and trading.

Mining & Smelting
Level Cap: 320
As a miner your character will be able to collect Ore, Stones and Gems from OreDeposits around the world, you must train your skills on common level ore deposits before being able to extract goods from rarer deposits. Ores, Stones and Gems can be used, sold or smelted into crafting materials.
Currently featuring:
- 11 Different Ore Deposits (Stone, Coal, Copper, Tin, Silver, Iron, Gold, Obsidian, Adamantium, Elementium, Spiritium)
- 11 Smelting Items (Copper Bar, Tin Bar, Bronze Bar, silver Bar, Iron Bar, Steel Bar, gold Bar, Obsidian Bar, Elementium Bar, Spiritium Bar, Adamantium Bar)

Your character will be able to skin various animals located around the world, in turn these skins/scales can be used, sold or cured into crafting materials.

Dungeon Experience Boosts
Fear of Darkness

When in dungeons as you descend deeper into a dungeon, monsters will draw power from the increasing darkness, with this extra power comes extra experience. Whilst a monster may only deal a small percentage of extra damage you will also receive a nice exp boost. All dungeons yield the best exp bonus on the deepest floors. (upto 2.8x bonuses can currently be obtained).

Fury Breaks
This is balanced by the new Fury Break system, each core build has a different Fury Break. As a player enters a dungeon they will automatically gain fury for every kill made on that floor, at 100 kills your character will enter fury break level 1, at 1000 kills your character will enter fury break level 2. each level of fury break gives a temporary stat boost. Each level of fury break is identified by a message in chat, see below.

Fury Break Level 1 - (Stats+ = Character Level)
Strength Build - DC and HP (It's Over 9000!)
Magic Build - MAC and MP (Not so Squishy Mode!)
Spirit Build - AC and SC (Cake or Death?!)

Fury Break Level 2 - (Stats+ = Character Level x 2)
Strength Build - DC and HP (SSJ-<username>)
Magic Build - MAC and MP (Furious Anger!)
Spirit Build - AC and SC (I'll have the chicken!)

Example:
Level 50 Strength Build, Fury Break Lv1 (DC+50 HP+500), Fury Break Lv2 (DC+100 HP+1000)

Changed the stat-per-level mechanics of each build to better reflect the playstyles based on player feedback. Also added a free Level 5 skill for each build. Existing characters can claim the free skill by using the 'Fix My SP' and 'Skill Reset' options.

General Server Description:


Xtreme Servers has been running since 2005, we pride ourselves on our up-time, our community and our dedicated development team. If you are part of the Mir 3 community, chances are you have played at least 1 of our servers over the years.

So after 3 years

and whilst still a continuing work in progress,
we are now pleased to announce the official launch of Kaos Mir 3.

Kaos has been designed from the ground up to be all about the fighting, you will choose a faction right from the very beginning of your characters existence. You will battle players and monsters for control of different provinces, and if that's not enough, the entire world (minus faction capital cities) are completely open pvp, you even get experience for killing other players!

A lot of the original PvP design was heavily influenced by Taral (back in 2008 we had a PvP server) and has been built upon since then and influenced by other forms of PvP and Mass PvP mechanics.

Legacy Accounts
Back from its conception in 2010, all contributions to kaos have been rewarded in the form of a Free Legacy Account. These accounts have been granted various ingame perks, such as slight skill cooldown reductions and exp boosts from various systems (professions/artisans/leveling), and visual counterpart is being prepared as well.
This legacy perk has been awarded to Original Supporters, Alpha Testers, Beta Testers and Staff.
If you are unsure if this includes you, please contact us via our forums. The cutoff date for Legacy Accounts was October 24th 2013.
For non-legacy players, a VIP perk will be available for purchase in the near future which will provide the same bonuses.
