I live in a house with 4 other guys, all young men and obviously they use a lot of data. Brothers especially with streaming and business related stuff.

When I lag ingame everything continues on my screen in realtime, teamspeak doesn't crackle when listening. However I cannot interact with my character, it gets locked in position and autopot shuts off. It seems like an upload speed problem, best way around it?

Yes
If its an upload problem teamspeak will only crackle for others that are listening to you - have you tested that?

Yes, I can hear them clear as crystal but apparently I go inaudible, have to type and watch it appear 10 seconds later.

I'll have a nosey around thanks. Upload speed is often **** with some providers I've heard, they wave a big download speed around to lure you in.

Any Change in price will be reflected in rent so I'll have to be picky!

Your upload is prob being maxed with the other 3 people on the network, make sure none of them are uploading files or have torrent clients seeding and using all the upload

What confuses me is why autopot shuts down? I would have thought that was all done client side.

Yes
Autopot is client side yes - so if youre client sends a pot request and youre upload is shot then server wont recieve the request
