When i install from a CD my pc turns super laggy and installing takes much longer then normal, anyone have a idea what it could be? I thought it might be the cd drive as it's pretty old and am about to buy a new one but just thought il ask before buying.
I checked the drive for dust and to see if it's connected up ok and it is, been burning a lot of cd's lately so could be a reason it's messed up.
Any ideas?.
Edit: Fixed, drive got set to PIO, reinstall will set it back to DMA.
