For some reason i log in and 2-3 mins later lag out but only on this server ,anyone have any ideas what this could be?

and no im not using gamebooster etc,and not on a wireless laptop im desktop wired.

lol seems im really destined to not to be able to play this server, its bad enough im laggy,sluggish as hell for some weird reason on these files n now cant even stay ingame at all lol where as i could before for hours on end.

You're not the only one mate, It seems to be a bug in the client as there are numerous people reporting the same thing. Myself included.
What i've gathered so far, is that this "lag" isn't actually related to internet connections at all, but rather to some kind of incompatibility between the client and the hardware in your system (most likely the graphics card)

You wouldn't by any chance, have an nvidia graphics card in your system would you?

Sounds like our anti cheat software is kicking you... I suggest removing any cheat software/game booster(s) of any kind...

What's your ingame name? I can check if that's the reason.

Im not using any cheat software or gameboosters on here tho lol? or does it kick you just for having them installed on ur pc?

edit: can i ask what ur pc specs are samuel so i can build a picture on what the game runs smooth on and try narrow the sluggish issue as right now i think its operating system as im no xp but some wind7 users etc posting problems too soo dunno

To be absolutely clear... are you experiencing the same lag as me? ie. game freezing for 3+ seconds after every step you take? I can run around for maybe 10 seconds, then ill get hammered by 3 seconds of solid lag, before being able to take 1 step, and being hit with another 3 seconds of lag.
If you don't experience this type of lag, then your issue must be different mine.

nah my lag is more consistant as in other players would be passing me in town or w/e and literally skipping frames like maniacs on my screen, i cant even keep up when grouped with someone lvling because they skip of my screen can barely keep up on a horse and the group dot on the minimaps radious is very short on here so once they skip of screen they keep having to stop n wait and tell me co ords they ran to lmao.

its more like run...stop...run..stop than completly freezing for x seconds lol

ah i see, so yeah yours sounds more like internet lag that the client based lag im experiencing. have you tried a tracert to the server?

I develop and test on a number of different machines, my main is:

6-Core 3.2GHz Bulldoser AMD
16GB DDR3 Ram
6GB GeForce NVidia Gfx (canni remember name)
Windows 7 64Bit

2nd:
Quad core i7 2.2Ghz
8GB ram
Nvidia GForce GT 645m (or something)
Windows 8 64 bit

Final and crap spec:
Core 2 Duo 1.6 GHZ
2GB DDR2 Ram
Onboard Gfx
Windows 7 64bit.

Client wise, I only play windowed mode, full screen has caused issues for people in the passed.
Play on multiple Res, laptops are on medium, pc is on high.
I only play with big interface also.

Not sure if any of this is helpful but merph...

Oh and I have Sky's lowest broadband package (10mb or something).

Samuel, I've found out whats causing the lag that im experiencing. Its the hard drive (or maybe more specifically, the storage controller)

I discovered that if I put the client onto a USB device, and run the game from that, I don't get any lag at all.

the storage controller on my laptop is Intel ICH8M (Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset)

I'm not sure if this is any use to you to help fix the issue?
