Laptop to Tv is abit blury?

The problem with putting it on TVs that big, unless whatever your using it for can more or less fit its resolution, it will look crap lol.
E.g. Most games max out at about 25" resolution, so it would be blury because first your sitting closer than you should be, and second cause its had to double its naural resolution to fit.
If you think of a console for example, there built specifically for TVs of any size, whereas online games are built for PCs and its only natural to build them at most of 25" as you're suppose to be sitting infront of it

Games, films and anything video related are made to a resolution... for example, SDDVDs are 720x576 and HDDVD/BD are 1280x720 & 1920x1080 (yet people say they don't see a difference on a 40" television of the same size which runs at 1920x1080 when full HD). I can run SNES games on my 42" TV with no problem, it's just rather pixellated as the resolution is considerably large.
The resolution of my 23" monitor is the same as my 42" TV.
You'll need DVI or HDMI lead & a good GPU to run smoothly on a 40" TV. You're probably using a VGA (the blue one) cable, which are analogue & won't work as good.
Out of range probably means your refresh rate, make it 30 just to be safe.

Yeh thanks i fixed the issue with the "out of range" and yeh im using a VGA cable because my laptop doesnt have a HDMI port!?! sucks really lol

most dont , the hdmi port comes from the graphics card = ALOT of laptops arent made for gaming lol.

I wasnt wanting to play games i just cant watch movies on a little screens anyways im due a new laptop so ill make sure my next one has a hdmi port lol

i only bought it last year :S
HDMI's useful for more than gaming though, I use mine all the time to stream 4od and stuff.
Good thing about HDMI aswel is that it plays sound I think, I use the VGA most of the time because I need to buy a longer HMDI cable, never had any problems with the res (42" tv). If your using both monitors it should adjust your laptop's es to fit the tele.

Well I use the normal Monitor plugs and my quality is the same as if i was watching my sky hd, i used to use a circle plug.

My normal laptop res is 1680x1050, when i plug in the cable it changes my laptops res to fit the tv (1360x768) and the tv quaility is asif it was hd but you dont get sound unless you use a headphone plug or hdmi.
