Ledu client, lag?

After playing with the ledu client for a while it seems to slow and become laggish.
Is this to do with the size fo the wil files and the computer specs?

ledu uses a lot more rescorces than the older clients if i rember right. so when you play and host on the same pc, if your cpu is being used up alot then ledu will probly lag. either that or you have what happend to me

if the server is not using very many rescorces but ledu still lags try reinstalling

what do you mean by reinstalling?
I build the wils up from other ppls work so its not like i can reinstall if u mean wot i think.
I thought it was cos i was hosting on same pc that y i thought nothing of it til I tried n another pc, every1 seem to have the problem some less than others.
Seems like you cant see stats of items and that you freeze for a while sometimes like forexample when opening bag.

Could it be a case of a damaged wil file?
Or would it simply be the fact the game it trying to handle nearly 3gb of data at once?

when i say reinstall i mean the pc its on. this happend to me last week

i run a single xeon 3.06 1gb of ram (more than rnough for me) and i was getting exactly what happend to you. after i have reinstalled it solved the problem, and as for it handling 3gb at once, clients only cache into the avaible ram whats going on on the screen at that point. otherwise you could need 4gb+ of ram to host and play at the same time :lol:

So you mean format the hdd and reinstall windows?
The problem is most players are having this so I get the feeling its the size of the wils.
For example
hum is 215 mb
humeffect is 150mb
and npc is 135mb

Not sure how the wils are loaded but If I were to reduce the size of them would that solve the problem?

I emptied hum and humeffect and it seems BETTER but still not good, seems to lag when players run about and especialy wen they hit.
What could this be due to?
Kinda annoying problem this, dont suppose anyone else has the same thing?

Could it be due to the speed cheat that is in ledu.
have u blocked all cheats .?

on turok at one point player experienced major lag when a player on their screen had a weapon in their hand that they didnt have in the weapon.wil file.

also my armours is 186 mb
humeffect 184mb
npc 56mb

while hosting i get no lag whatsoever

well on Diamond server there was no lag at all.
when me nd m8s were useing the ledu.
and i was on the hosting pc.

Could this be due to he is useing the 1.4 files and not the 1.9 ?.

i use exactly the same client (appart from the magic.wil) on my 1.4 and 1.9 servers no lag

I never had lag with ledu at all.. ONE problem i have is ledu doesnt let winamp play nout else though.

One of the things that is annoying that that when you try to view item stats it takes a while to show. If you restart game then they show str8 away and u can scroll thru items fast, after a few mins of playing it takes a while and then they stop showing completely.

I checked your client scorp it seems ok...

I've never had a problem with ledu client causing lagg.

Out of interest what RAM you got?
I have only actually got 512 so that is probably the problem, but other ppl have been complaing too so made me wonder.

i believe (am not 100% on it) the nemesis server runs on 1gb

lol ignore him and his 1gig ram, no server will need 1 gig ram i asure u,, 512 is perfect, 1gig is just for those who can afford it but dont need it.

512mb ram is fine m8, i play with LEDU client on 224mb ram and all runs fine lal. So must be a client error or something

there might be something wrong with the wils and the clinet isnt readying them wright so they cuase alot of lag problems as the client might be looking thorugh all the images, and not search by the IDX number
