What's my story behind my Mental Health?
My Mental Health was environmentally induced back in 2019 when I was going through a really rough patch in life, age 20.
I was worth £50,000, I had a Care Coordinator job role, I run my own Health & Wellness Business, a Fiance, a Pug and a bedroom with a balcony.
Sadly, my partner cheated and abused me verbally, mentally and physically tried to run me over on two occasions, pinning me to a "LipStick" near a wall.
One day, I packed up and left absolutely everything that I had ever invested in and went to live with my sister and her 2 children for 1 year.

Sadly after experiencing that first difficult time in my life, I was exposed to Anxiety & Depression.
So being a motivated kind of guy, I bought a new car to treat my self, took the family out and hit the gym.
I got myself back on-top, moved into a new property, got with a new partner and the same thing happened again.
I lost my job because of my relationship, he started taking Drugs & Alcohol regularly so communication became difficult, then the Mental & Financial abuse began.

So, I moved back in with my sister and her partner for 6 months, and then lived with my Dad for 1 year.
Sadly in this time I was unable to work because of my Depression, although I do have big aspirations towards working as being occupied is therapeutically relaxing to me.

Sadly, I was then Diagnosed with Manic Psychosis & Manic Depression - This just was not me.
So I spent 6 months in a Mental Health Hospital in Middlesbrough where I was then re-diagnosed with Bipolar & Psychosis.

I've been abused on Depression tablets from my GP, so this course of medication action was not suitable.
The consultants then decided to administer me onto a medication called Aripiprozole, which focuses on the Psychotic side of the brain.
This was then not working, and was changed to Haleperidol (Sadly this has major side effects) and was prescribed Lithium to help with my Low Salts & Low Mood swings.
This meant at the age of 32 I'm now needing to have my bloods taken weekly to ensure the correct amount of Lithium is being prescribed & administered.
I'm getting injections in my gluttonous maximus (butt) once per month and I'm feeling much more stable now we have finally found this balance.

Sadly it's taken 12 years to be correctly diagnosed & medicated, and because it took so long this was the reason why Bipolar was developed too, meaning two sides of
my brain are continuously fighting with each other whilst the medications are trying to keep my levels balanced.

I've always remained kind, thoughtful and kept a natural caring nature about myself, so luckily I can still communicate in day to day life.

I find that walking and talking therapies are an absolute shambles.
It's all about staying occupied & having friends and family to keep in regular contact with you to prevent any development of loneliness which develops into Depression.

What's your Story, and how do you manage your medications and day to day life?

I'm hoping you get well soon mate, that's a lot of heart attacks to have let alone a stroke & seizures ontop - I feel for you mate.
Seizures are enough alone to destroy a life without those other extras you've suffered / are currently suffering with.

18 Tablets per day, how do you do it? I'm already going insane having 5 needles stuck in me per month but it's better than taking oral medications Morning & Night which would be the alternative which wasn't the best option for me as I have developed signs of early onset dementia through smoking too much weed & eating away at my brain cells so I struggle to retain too much information otherwise it's a ciao adios I'm outa here lol.

Thanks for the support mate <3

Yeah I agree 18-30 is the worst. I'm not sure how those are coping with it over the age of 55+ on the elderly wards as I've never experienced Elderly Mental Health except for in my Mum who's got Bipolar from the age of 20, so I'm presuming it's a genetic issue.

Clozapine is a fantastic drug, I know that one mainly focuses on Schizophrenia & Borderline Personality Disorders.
I have a friend who takes that, he's really gone with the wind bless him but he's cool and he's full of brains.
He swears by the Clozapine as they had him on a load of varied medications when he was first diagnosed.

I find Mir my therapy, i enjoy satisfaction from completed work and pleasing others (Not sure if this is part of my disability or just soft lol).
If you can work on a nice set of files I would highly recommend it, but just be advised they do take 1 year to get right and then if you want toys you'll have to code them in or pay somebody to do it. Personally I've played 1 mir server since I came back in 2023 but I've got no motivation left to start from level 1 all over again - So I thought bugger it i'll just make my own again lol :)

23 Years i've been playing this year

Bless you man, this is another condition that is usually underlying (Often Bipolar or Schizophrenia this usually comes with).
Have you ever had any irregularities in terms of being able to communicate properly with people? Feeling awkward when chatting to people?
This usually goes one way or another, you're either really chatty and friendly or hiding in a room watching your favourite tv shows everyday.

The drug Clozapine prescribed above is usually the best course of action / treatment for this one - once you reach this stage with your GP/RGN/Practitioner.

I've found the best course of action (Speaking from experience via friends and medical observations)
Is again, to keep occupied but don't go into overkill with BPD - Try to be more organised as this helps.
