Level 4 skills

I believe you need to find books that say 'contain level 4 pages' although i used 8 books last night and all said failed to learn level 4, so must be quite rare.

Just as Westie has said, you just use another book once your spell is level 4 and that you're high enough to learn it.
The % to learn is very low probably talking between 1-3% chance - total page numbers doesn't seem to have an effect on learning level 4 spells that appears to be on an "invisible" number.
I do have a query though, so although the success chance for the standard books seems to reside around the 1-3% mark, what is the chance for the Elite level books? I've used three Potion Masteries and two Bloody Flower all unsuccessful.

Awesome, thanks for the replies lots of book hunting tonight when I get home from work then and lots of profit to made on the TM I'm guessing
Hit and miss with the TM, because the % is so low desire to cough up good cash isn't very high. Should easily get a few thousand though.

TM crashed for books, due to how hard it is to learn the level4 spell.
i did however earn over a million from old books i had Yesterday after the reboot!
Ps I've used about 10 books and none have worked so far.

Seems very rare. It keeps it interesting and a market for the lower books and west desert areas.

Similar to how original Mir 3 had books and manuals? Would be an interesting way to keep the lower level bosses active, of course the % drop chance would have to not be OTT.
Very envious on your Bloody Flower working first time! What % of your damage do you convert at level 4 into HP?

Not bad at all, will be nice to have the synergy between BF + ABF late game, will make Sins extremely tanky in PvE, can see a lot of people re-rolling to a sin once things like ABF + Companion 10% crit come into play. Sins just need to stick out the tough mid levels where they seem to fall by the wayside.
