Don't know where else to put this, so here'll do for now...

I've been fiddling, as you do in boredom, and I've created a LightSaber look-a-like weapon.

Nothing special was involved in making it, just recolouring the individual images from the wil file and rebuilding it...

What do you think??

Very nice mate, if you're intrested in actually doing this as a release then feel free to contact me, I don't have much to do with mir anymore but if you send me the frames needed then i'll by all means turn them into realistic looking lightsabres, just to show you what I mean i've edited your pic with one of mine.

It could become a popular release, so yeah.. give me a bell, and we'll get something sorted. Nice idea.

I want some masks aswell, and robes/armour.

that wonulnt work sawell as mir is 256 colour, and it is ovious there are more then 256 colours in that saber alone :P :/

I haven’t made a Mir server in a long time, forgive my ignorance but is there actually a way to fit a new weapon to a sound effect? I know that a lot of the weapons do sound different, have you lot figured out the background to that?

like i said, sawell is just editn the pic that was posted in first post... it will not look like that in game due to mir can only use 256 colours, and sawell light saber is a hell of a lot more then 256...

It's the theme that matters, and I'm sure the 256 can be made slightly better than what it is currently.
