I just reformated my computer and lost all my files, ever since i did this my computer has gone really slow and ive only used up bout 600mb on my computer any ideas how i cn make it faster?

When installing windows, did you unplug the internet cable? If you did, BEFORE connecting the computer back to the internet, did you enable the windows firewall?

Press CTRL+SHIFT+ESC

You will be presented with the Task Manager. Make screenshots of the Process tab, and the performance tab.

How have you only used 600mb, windows alone (assuming your using 2k or xp) takes more than that.

xp had used about 5-10 gig wen i installed it

Windows XP takes upto 3gb i would say, it used 2-3 for me. So seems theres and error with your windows disc or the proccess was interupted whilst you was installing windows with the disc. Try re-installing it.

Just read the *downloads take up 600mb*. HMm, again i would suggest reinstalling windows. Worth a try.
