Fix: Cant Find

Suggested: your freind is already running something through that desired port, Fix find it stop it then try if not contact windows. Tell them your running a dsl server of mysql.

What ports are open on my PC?

The Netstat command can list currently used ports, which might be helpful if you suspect an application is clashing with another one on an active port. Use the -an switch to show all connections and listening ports in numeric form.

C:\> netstat -an

Check the output for any port that you think your program might use.

PING and TRACERT work because they don't use TCP/IP to test connectivity, they use ICMP packets

The port and what other process is currently using it. If nothing its an external process thats occupying that port (hack attempt or the ISP has blocked its use).

Have you checked with the ISP?

Not tasks running, your using the command above to find out which programs are using which ports.

Please, phone, fax, email, talk to the ISP staff. They can help a lot quicker than waiting for replys. :)
