ehm i not sayed ...take mine and test it.... i have mean that you maybe have wrong password or other to check in your own.

btw make a check for your sql please ID/PW/NAME AND ODBC Settings !!! (Kaori have a tool for checking for connection calls sql checker or port checker look in her Signatur)

i say you the same use that port check tool. if a gate break that normal run perfect than only two reasons normal possible. if it read and have contact to a db than 4

1) IPs (90%) from all errors are the IP´s
2) Changed Port The gates can not communicated with other gates or engine
3) If DB Requested by Gate CHECK the ID/PW/DBNAME
4) IF All other is CORRECT check SQL Install self (Mixed mode) and ODBC Settings.

EDIT:
IF that all is OK and the gate still make Trouble than only the Gate self can be Corrupt (Broken)
In that case you can only look if you find a gate (Aplication) that reads out the same things in the *.ini* that you can change the entries in the *.ini* from the new gate to the old settings for your files.

sorry for doublepost !
i looked in the guide for sql2005 and found a position that maybe is your problem ?!?!!?!?!

Now under server name click the drop down box and click ‘<Browse for more…>’ which will open a file explorer. Expand ‘Database Engine’ and find your instance from the list. Notice your instance is;

name of your computer / name of instance – this is very important, because where you would normally put (local) in the server files for the SQL IP you need to put the server name that you use to connect.

Select SQL Server Authentication and then enter your username and password. The username is always ‘sa’ and the password is the password you entered during the installation.

(Local) = 127.0.0.1 so try in gates your instance name and not 127.0.0.1 specialy in the logingate cause there you have that trouble

AND INFORM ME HERE IF WORK ...than i must not install sql2k5 self and try (i will not waste time)

Do ALL the IP's need to be set to this instead of 127.0.0.1 like in the database etc? im having mega troubles with 2005, i think it might be best to use 2000 for these in future

seems like you have not added the databases in the ODBC Data-sources properly go check the sa passwords on them

it should have been one of the first things you did after setting up the sql
